Whats the status for the new schools that were planning to open up this year (2018): Idaho College of Medicine, Minnesota College of Medicine, and Osteopathic Medical College of Wisconsin?

COCA will have their meeting this weekend. One on the list is a question about ICOM, I don't think Wisconsin is on Agenda

So, if someone applied in June and then later wants to apply again in January with updated GPA, ECs and other stats, can one update the app on AACOMAS or it will still be the same?

you can continue to add ECs(but not update old ones)

you can also add new coursework during certain update periods

Minnesota College of Medicine,
I missed this one initially.

I wrote about it in some other thread recently. If you mean Gaylord, MN osteopathic school, officially named MNCOM, there is no progress. It is not even on agenda for this upcoming COCA meeting.

They anticipated to open school for 2018, but I spoke to CEO and they said now its 2019, but I highly doubt it as they did not even start any remodeling or anything at the school they were talking about purchasing.

Also, from some other info I have seen, they were not receiving much help but more of an opposition.

@Goro why don't you think it will open in the middle of the cycle? any specific reason, just curious

They've been trying to do this for a long time (the people who got BCOM off the ground did so with a lot more success and speed, ditto UIW, I think); bureaucratic inertia; and from what I hear, the people trying to pull this off aren't exactly the brightest bulbs in the pack.

The proximity to DMU and CCOM (and MUCOM) may be a drag as well.
