non-resident applying to western

i have heard from various sources that it might be difficult to gain acceptance at a state DO school if you happen to be a non-resident. is this also true for western university? i hope not! :(

(fyi, my GPA is fair (3.5/4.0) and i am planning to take the MCAT next april)
