OMG!!! I could seriously just about cry with joy right now. Finally got the status change to invited for interview.

It is such a relief. Now if I can schedule this for the Tue after my LMU interview in October I can hopefully combine some trips and save on airfare.

I'm going to call now even though I didn't get the email yet. I hope that's ok.

Called about an hour ago. October 7th was the earliest date available, so I took that. I need to sign up for some sort of frequent flyer program, 3 cross country flights in 2 months should get me somethin.

they give you a bunch of dates to choose from..there all tues/thurs...right now there probably filling up october..u have 2 weeks to call them so maybe if u called like tommorw or the day after october would be filled...so u could choose in nov/dec..

You need to call them to schedule the interview date 🙂. I believe they interview every Tuesday and Thursday.

anybody call before they closed? I was hoping to get the oct 14th date... I just saw a post at ~3PM that said that oct 12th was the earliest date. Just wondering if anybody knows what it is now. I SHOULD HAVE CALLED EARLIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all, so I haven't sent any of my LORs yet - but I did send in the secondary app. I wasn't expecting to hear from them, but b/c I just got an interview @ LECOM - Bradenton, I decided to check WebStar. Lo and behold, I was invited for an interview. Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped about that lol. Just thought I'd share because I feel like hugging anyone and everyone right now. Any who, I'm guessing it's a good sign that they invited me even though I haven't sent my LORs yet..anyone else experience this? 👍

It said from:

9-10 = overview of nsucom
10-12= interview with faculty/tour of facilities
12-1= lunch with students
1-2= meet the dean

I wish I could... I have heard so much about Ft. Lauderdale that I really considered staying extra to sightseeing. If only they interview on Friday..

When I talked to the lady to schedule the interview, she transferred me to the travel office for questions regarding where to stay, etc. You can go onto this website and get some info.

When the page opens, at the middle of the page, there is the link "hotel discounts/rates". If you click on that, it will give you the list of the hotels and info on them (rates, shuttle to schools, etc.)

You are basically next to Miami, I live like 20 min from the school. I'd say there are a good amount of locals as well as tourists.😀

I totally wish I could explore the beaches but it would be pretty boring to do it alone - not worth the extra dip in the wallet for another night in a hotel. too bad they don't have student hosting

Directly around campus I'd say it's mostly locals. However, if you head over to Las Olas, Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Hard Rock (all within 15-20 mins) you'll find tourist hot spots. It's really an ideal location ... if even you get some time off from studying you have lots of options to unwind 😀

Call in the morning, I did @ 830 and only waited about 8 mins on hold. Earliest date was October 26 when I called. Luckily, it ends early - I can't risk missing my Miami Heat season opener that night 😛 ! Lol, on a more serious note, does anyone know how many students are in each interview session?

according to the lady I spoke to yesterday, they interview ~ 15 people everyday and she also said it will be group interview

Wow interview times went fast! I got my invite email yesterday at 3:15, but did not have a chance to call then so I figured this morning would be fine.

November 4th was the earliest date!

yeah, me too. I never have group interview before... not sure how it will be

I had one at LECOM last month and I was a little nervous about it, but it was a pretty good way to do an interview. In a group they can't grill you so that isn't a worry, and if you do not instantly have an answer to the question someone else will and it gives you a second to think.

Group interview? It's weird that their website fails to mention that. All it says is "An interview with a team of faculty (2 or 3 faculty members)."

yeah, I know it is weird. In CIB they didn't mention anything about that. I asked the lady "are you sure?" and she said "yeah, group interview means a few people interview at the same time". No sure how that answered my question 😕
