Hey Guys! Good Luck to everyone!
Just had a quick question, does anyone know what the MCAT/GPA stats are as of last year? Anyone heard of the 27 MCAT cutoff rumor?
Oh yeah, called NSU last monday, they said they haven't started reviewing any files yet but interviews are supposed to start early September.

ThEre was no such cutoff my year (co 2012). Can't vouch for what it is now though.

When I interviewed last year there were rumors of a 27 cutoff for being granted an interview. According to everyone at my interview, no one there that day was below a 27 (so they SAID...) and no one knew of anyone that was invited for an interview below a 27 at that point. Who knows though.. We were not given stats regarding our class, so I am not sure what the incoming class stats ended up being.

No e-mail for me but webstar now says decision pending as a status and there was no status box before. We shall see. I don't have a 3.0 though (sGPA will be >3.0 after summer) and apparently thats the minimum for Nova so we'll see what happens.

I have no status box either. My webstar also shows that I submitted two separate applications (5 days apart from each other) and I definitely did not do that. Does anyone else have this problem?

I know the pin is 6 numbers...I had trouble remembering mine too.
To clarify...there is no status box per say but rather if you click on the summary of your secondary there will be a row in the table that says status or something like that. Mine now says under review I think...although I don't think my advisor sent in my committee letter, so I don't think that I'm reviewable so don't take this as necessarily accurate
I have two applications for this year too listed. I think the first one is just saying your primary was received. If you look back in this thread a lot of people have this

👍 Mine says decision pending but ya, there is only 1 of the 2 that actually has the status box.
27 was not (at least last year) the cut off for an interview. There are people in the c/o 2013 with 26 and below 🙂 Now, WHEN they interviewed, I don't know, but they were accepted.

I checked my webstar, and I dont have an "application status" row but rather an "application preference" row, is that what some of you guys are referring to? Though I think ive had that since day one of the application. To the right of application preference it says "not entered". Im too confused to be freaked out lol 😕

First, they said they prefer people who have taken BOTH Org 2 and Biochem, but I have only taken Org 1 will take Biochem next spring. It will meet their requirements but I think it puts me at a disadvantage.
Second, I messed up the secondary app and had to fax an addendum. It makes me look stupid and like I can't follow directions. I guess I got too excited about filling it out and missed a couple things.

Ditto, 7/7. Wonder if we should call. I know some peoples last year were messed up and didn't say Decision: until they called and got it worked out.

Many people got interview invites shortly after calling last year, I plan on calling tomorrow 😉 hahahaha
Were you guys complete as in signature page, LORs and submitted by 7/6 or was it just your application? have you called to check your status at all since submitting? I called and checked my status a few times since then. My signature page was received on the 13th so thats when I was officially "complete"

Checked both applications. The first one was complete 7/15, the second was complete 7/20. A little bit later than you, hopefully that's the problem. My letters also aren't in yet... which is really starting to frustrate me 😡

EDIT: NEVERMIND, found it... wow I'm glad I use SDN otherwise I would not have any idea about this. I guess it wasn't available when I submitted (as it mentions on the applications page). Printing it off and sending it tomorrow! Hopefully this will make things move a bit more quickly.
Yeah they got my signature page on the 13th as well and they had everything else before then. I called them last week to verify that I'm considered complete and they said I was. So who knows. I'll probably call again tomorrow.

The signature page ravaged my application last year. I submitted as soon as I got the application, didn't hear back from them for a long ass time. Called and they said they had received my apps and letters blah blah, call back in late december and they finally tell me my signature page hasn't been received, that they had changed the application and it was required. I was pretty livid.
Big Boosting, hang in there. I'm gonna call tomorrow too just to see about decisions 😉 haha Maybe we'll get lucky and get the first two interview invites

I've never been to nova, but I know its in an area I'd want to live and its associated with an UG campus. Its not just a building in the middle of a warehouse district *cough*Touro-NV*cough*

I submitted secondary 7/8, signature page was received 7/13, and letters were received 7/29. I dont know if my application doesnt have a status yet because of the letters just being received?

I called today. I sent in all my stuff in early July and verified they had everything. I verified that today again and the woman said they haven't even started reviewing them yet. She said next week my status would be updated. So I'm not worried. Neither should anyone else!😀

I called today.. didn't get much information other than the fact that they have my signature page and letters. I asked if it was okay that I still have "not entered" by my application, and she told me that's fine.

Actually, I got a different response just this morning. They said that they had begun reviewing the first batch of applications as of Monday (hence some people's status change) and that first interview invites will be going out at the beginning of next week. 👍 Regardless, we are all still super early so I"m sure we'll all have a great shot.

I know I could probably search through everyone's previous posts and find this information, but would those of you who have either gotten the email about being under review or have had their webstar status change mind posting when you think you were complete?
