Anyone think there will be some NYU action on Monday even though it's MLK day?
 
i may explode from the wait.
 
They've got interviews until the end of this week, so I don't think we will hear anything until next week, unless those people are interviewing for the waitlist.

Has anyone heard a "yes" since late December?
 
They are almost done interviewing...I highly doubt that they will send out any more acceptances when they only have a handful of interviews left.

What the hell does that mean?? are you saying they won't give out any more acceptances??
 
no...i mean that if they only have one or two weeks of interviews left, it is most likely that the next round of acceptances will be after they finish interviewing. But all this is only speculation on my part.

Don't you think it would be a better present if I, someone you've never met and don't know at all, got in on your birthday instead. Think about it. 👍
 
There's a profile on mdapps that was accepted in January, but it was MD/PhD. Dunno if that matters, but I'm guessing it must be different since no one else seems to have heard.
 
Poll: How many times do you check this thread per day, even though you know nothing's happening until next week?

congrats to you, but i interviewed on nov 29th, do we think that that means i'm out? i would think that a dec 5 interview would be notified at the same time as a nov 30 interview, but who knows? im shocked that they didnt wait until next week, as we'd been discussing. boooo why does this have to be such a secretive game of guess work?
 
I don't know.... now, I hope that GaNJGirl doesn't take offense to this, but this is kind of giving me MCAT thread flashbacks. I'm always a little wary when someone's first post is "OMG MCAT scores are out" or "I was just accepted!!! YIPPIE!!" and there is no one else to verify this news. I'm just saying is all.
 
Well, if there's any chance of me getting an acceptance next week, they're not doing it chronologically. So I'm hoping all of you guys looking for trends in interview dates are just grasping at threads. I'm pretty sure it would vary by interviewer anyway, when they got paperwork in, etc. etc. Here's hoping. ;-)

I concur. 3 posts to say she got accepted? A bit fishy... Usually when one person gets an acceptance there is bound to be at LEAST one other person at the same time on SDN with good news. I wary of this update also but I still find myself frantically checking my email. I almost exploded when I got one new email in the inbox but it was from another school talking about some program they have 🙁
 
its pretty ridiculous that i was upset at the thought that someone had been accepted and now i feel much better because of the previous few posts...but i do feel better with the rationale about the acceptance maybe not being true and that it might not be chronological. i also feel that the acceptance is a bit fishy... im going to keep on hoping (and checking my email every 5 min).
 
I thought the point of this thread is to post when we hear news, good or bad. Ive been following this thread since i interviewed at NYU and hadnt posted before simply because I had nothing to post-
Anyway, I did not know you had to have above a certain number of posts before people say you are lying. I wish everyone the best of luck if NYU is their top choice ( as it is mine). Im really sorry you didnt hear from them yet, and I hope you hear postively soon, but calling me a liar is not going to make difference.

I wasn't trying to imply you were a liar, just that I'm not ready to accept your post 🙂 Probably just wishful thinking. Anyway, congrats on your acceptance.

Seriously, don't take offense 🙂 If you are telling the truth, congratulations 😀 You have to understand why it looks a little suspect though. Going through the process of getting a sn, password, etc just to post that you got into a school.....when nobody knows you (as in "SDN knows you")

Now, if you are trying to just be helpful, then that's awesome. But until I see at least a few more people post, I'll keep my suspicion because hey, it takes some of the stress away. 😉
 
Ive been a member since december, and the reason I became one was to stay updated on NYU stuff.

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people would actually think someone would lie about an acceptance just to be a jerk. Best of luck to you. Also, didnt they send out 2 batches of emails in dec? I remember reading that...

Congratulations! Did you get your e-mail yesterday? Because your post says the e-mail was recived at 1:26 PM, but the time of your post is a little after 11 AM😕
