nothing here. 🙄
Pffft... well, they're past my interview date. Denied. I'm not too torn up about it, because honestly, after some of the inappropriate comments during/after my interview... I wouldn't go there anyway, even though I loved NYC dearly when I was there.
Ok, just spent way too much time on MD apps. Average MCAT of the MD acceptances: 36.75, average GPA: 3.88. Both of the MD candidates with a listed January acceptance are late interviewees (11/30 and 12/12) and URMs. 7/17 did not say when they were interviewed/accepted.
Sorry, interviews were done on the 19th.
oh NO they DI'IN'T!!! should i just go ahead and withdraw my app or wait for the rejection letter?
this begs the question: what sort of inappropriate comments?
If you got in this school you'de be the biggest proponent, yet now your bashing?
Also, why is everyone bashing this school? Yes, you might not have gotten in yet... but why do you need to justify your rejection? I know it's a defense mechanism so that you don't feel rejected emotionally, but come on.
If you got in this school you'de be the biggest proponent, yet now your bashing?
sorry, but what's a URM?
i really hope that you guys are wrong about them being done accepting people who interviewed before 12/12.
I don't think that the order they're sending out acceptances has much of anything to do with when people were interviewed. That was a rumor started early on from a "trend" within the first day of acceptances.
I'm telling you... tomorrow is the day.
The last real "batch" went out on a Monday. Their last interview date was January 19th. Therefore, they have had all of last week to debate their entire applicant pool. I predict a second wave of acceptances tomorrow and I hope I am boogeyboarding on that fricken wave.
Sorry, interviews were done on the 19th.
Yeah, they've made their first move today. Good luck, everybody. (For those who are curious, I interviewed in mid-October.)
An email from [email protected] at 9:29am Eastern:

Regards...and congrats once more!
This acceptance back on December 18th... a Monday, was at 9:29 AM EST. Maybe it gave them time to get some breakfast and then press "SEND". Sorry if I'm hyping up today, but I'm so damn excited!
NYyanx, way to cause a heart attack by posting that email! im excited too though...i hope it's not over nothing...
and what happened to our 1:30pm time? That was what we were talking about last week.
nyu has always been my first choice and i nearly choked on my gobstopper when i opened my email. congrats to those who have gotten in and i'm hoping to hear about a lot more acceptances today. good luck everyone.
ps - i bet some of you were wishing that i died of choking, huh? 🙄
congratulations! it's always great when applicants get their top choice schools.
there hasn't seemed to be any big batches since that first round. maybe they're trickling them out as people decline offers.
or something.
eh.
I'd love to agree with you Detroit, but people had to confirm their acceptances within 2 weeks. That means all of those people from that big batch in December would have been confirmed or ruled out weeks ago. :-\ Probably most put in their deposits.
