I'm a D4 student graduating in May. I have a converted two bedroom
apartment available for sublease for June and July. It's located on
20th and Ave C. Rent is $2950 per month which includes utilities; gas,
water and electricity ($1450 for one room). It's fully furnished.

Don't worry about it. In these interviews the most important thing is that burden of proof is on you so take as many documents as you can. They might not even ask but you should present anyways. The main objective is to sincerely prove to them that you are not going permanently and that as soon as you are done you are coming back. To prove that you can take an extended leave of absence from where you and also you husband works showing that you have to come back to serve in ur home country. Also show as many ties as you can so that they know you are coming back like your family is there and you she to come back caz you take Carr of your family and you will come back or you have property etc or business that you can't leave forever. Also that you plan to Practice in your home country and this dds will help you increasing your income etc. Dint show too much that you have strong ties in USA. ( don't lie if they as for brother and sisters etc) but don't by yourself go into details of any far off relatives by saying" o i have my mothers uncle there for 50 years and we are going to c him etc" keep your answer brief and don't go into details. Answer what's asked, be precise. At the end just remember the person on the other side is a human and not a fool, so speak in a personal way and not as a subordinate or a boss etc. E.g take their name and ask about health etc. Not too personal of course. Also be prepared about question like rents in NYC and living expenses. And proof that you can afford to live on your own. Check locations and average rents and transport and grocery prices etc. Wish you sincere best of luck.

Hi!! How does it work out for people who already got into NYU but waiting to hear from Colorado. If they want to go to CO, do they receive a refund of their tuition from NYU? Seniors plzz help!! Any one in the same situation please pm me.
 
there will be no refund..whatever amount has been paid to NYU till the time you are at NYU will not be given back

you will can apply for a ssn when and if you do some kind of on campus job..what nyucd does is gives u an opportunity during NERB exams to come and help out with the examination and they pay you and give you a work authorization letter which you can take to the social security office and obtain a ssn

Hi appu I have another question I can't find answer to. I need to know when in august is our vacation, if u can provide exact date? And for how long ( if u cannot provide exact date, u can give the approximate date;-) also in those vacation do we have any home assignments? Because I am planning a trip back home and I have to prepare for it. It's very important for me and I will really appreciate the timings. Thank you in advance.

no assignments for the august break...just enjoy yourself and have a blast...the following breaks(december and march) you might find yourself studying a bit for exams which are right after the break..but august 2015 just have fun...

What is the dress code in college on regular days?
And what about the first day 29th May?
 
on the first day you can wear anything you want..casual ..formal..most of us had worn formals as we didnt know what to expect...later on you can wear either formals or scrubs for the lab sessions..keep in mind no denim and open toed shoes for labs...for theory classes you can wear whatever you want...

FAFSA application is easy. You don't have to be accepted to any school to fill it out. You can mention few school names where you want to go in advance though you can add more later on. Just make sure you go to the correct website http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/:)

Hi I am sorry but have zero knowledge on FAFSA...I would try and ask around but getting a response would be difficult at this time since I have not been going to school and people are busy with the final exam preps..but will definitely try

There is a two bedroom, one full bath with a cut out dining room area ( that can be converted to a room) and a large terrace apartment available in Brooklyn in Prospect Leffert Gardens close to SUNY medical school .Train ride is about 25 mins from school. Train station is about 3 mins from the apartment and it is a 10mins walk to school from 14th or 23rd street station. The price I must say is very,very reasonable. The nice looking house has 3 apartments and one of them is already taken by an NYU student.

Hi , I am a D4 at NYUCD /AP and lookin for the 3rd male roomate in Waterside Plaza ASAP . Rent is 1170 and want someone who is up for a 1 yr lease term .
It is a 2 bedroom apartment converted to 3 . We are renting out our 2nd bedroom in the apartment .

Congratulations to all those who have been accepted for class 2015! I was on wait list and got a call from Mara Zelaya yesterday confirming my admission! I am all excited and stressed out! 🙂 . I hardly have 4 days to get everything done and start class on Tuesday. It would be great if anyone could give me any information regarding housing, loan, immunization forms..actually just about anything 🙂 ( I am a female)
