anyone used both ob/gyn secrets and recall? which is better?

I see that secrets has a new edition in 2003.

Any other suggestion for a book to use for obgyn rotation? I have already read blueprints, but it seems a little superficial.

thanks!

Blueprints is all you really need for the shelf. I found First Aid for OB/GYN helpful for pimping.

The nice thing about OB/GYN is there is a limited amount of topics to cover. Blueprints summarizes them nicely.

I heard that there is a OB/GYN clinical vignettes book that is made by the same folks who published "blueprints". Has anyone tried it? If so, do you think it's worth getting?

Hey guys,

I just started my OB/Gyn rotation and wanted to ask what the deal is on the shelf exam? How is it formatted? Is it mostly clinical vignette? Also what is the best way to prepare for this particular exam. I have BLueprints and NMS--but our chairperson also assigned a 700 pg text by Hacker and Moore that seems impossible to read given the ridiculous hours we have. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Vomer
