It looks like the calls and letters to waitlisters are starting to trickle in little by little, so it seems like a good time to start this, but I can't wait to see this list fill up in April! Good luck, everybody! :luck:

*sigh*

only 1 month and 4 days until D-Day (Decision Day)...somehow it seems like an eternity. oh, April 15th, hurry up already.

anyone else as obsessed with this day as me?

Yes. 🙂

my only hope as well :xf:

Anyone still waiting to hear from K-state? The last info I got from them was 12/15 (waitlisted)🙁

i'm waiting on Kansas as well

Alternate list for Iowa and Oklahoma are my only hopes now... :-\

Can't wait for this thread to start filling up.🙂

I was wait listed for Davis I found out on Friday March 20, 2009

I was waitlisted after having an interview

Just bumping this up cause the 15th is rolling around... 😀

I saw that you'd posted on here and hoped that you'd gotten a call from Tufts! Oh well....

Still crossing my fingers for you & all those waitlisted. Hope that there's a ton of great news & new c/o 2013's on here really soon!!!!:xf:

How soon after the 15th, realistically, do they start choosing people from their waitlists? Do they choose as many as they need to fill right off the bat?

Turtlelover, I know from last year that Purdue started sending their letters the week after the deadline. So, I can't say how all schools work, but I'm guessing the ones with ranked lists will operate just as quickly. I'm afraid it may be forever waiting on western since they have to go through all of the alternate apps again to choose us!:scared:

Tufts also re-evaluates all of the alternate apps, and it doesn't take forever. Last year and the year before people started finding out rather quickly (~5 days after the deadline). I don't know much about Western, but I'm sure all of the schools will be on similar timelines for notifying alternates. Could be any day/week now...

LOL Every time I see this thread get bumped, I get so excited, thinking someone's finally adding to the list. 😛

Hang in there, guys! We're all cheering for you!

I'm waiting with baited breath for ohio and Michigan; getting off of either waitlist is my only hope for this cycle 🙁. Thank goodness April 15th is less than 2 weeks away. I don't want to apply a third time!!!

I 2nd that...if I have to apply a 3rd time and go through this again I may die. lol I'm also on two waitlists. I'll cross my fingers and what not for both of us.

Wow, that's awesome! So did you get the email before you saw the status update? I keep checking that status update page everyday!

That's awesome crewgal! haha, maybe you got my spot 🙂 I just contacted VMRCVM this afternoon to let them know I'm not coming.

hey guys. just sent my rejections out to purdue, missouri and mich st. I hope that helps you get an open spot!! good luck to everyone!!

So exciting to hear it's moving already! Congrats crewgal!

only a week away to decision day... This thread should be hopping about then lol...

Good luck everyone!:luck:

Does anyone know what happens if you do not answer the phone? Will they leave a message or just keep moving down the list? Will they try both numbers listed or just one?
Thanks in advance

I am sure they will make every effort to contact you. I know Tufts even sends letters at the beginning of the process.

Thanks everyone!

sheepprl- I did not answer the first phone call, and admissions called back a few minutes later. I was told they give you two days to respond to the phone call or email before they continue down the list.

Good Luck!!

Just wanted to let you know that I sent in my acceptance and rejections today. Therefore, an in-state spot at Purdue will open up and an OOS at Colorado will open up. Also, I took myself off the waitlist at Wisconsin (I was #41).

Purdue just called...they're pulling me off the waitlist! LabLover, I'm not sure if it was at all related to your recent post, but regardless...THANK YOU!!

Now I get to stay close to my family and friends! This is the best Good Friday EVER!😍

Yah! Waitlists are starting to move!

Congrats, PharmToxGuy!:soexcited:

Congratulations PharmToxGuy --don't forget to add your name to the list.

Yay Purdue! Awesome, can't wait to meet you!

Oregon State: ORvetgirl (A: 4/7, email to be followed by snail mail, IS)

yay ORvetgirl! something tells me that oregon was your first choice 😉

Thanks cRose...I'm from Oregon, so Oregon State was my first choice mostly due to financial reasons, although there are lots of other great aspects to their program. 🙂

ORvetgirl! I got excited for you when I saw you had posted here and hoped it was good news! Congratulations. 🙂 See you in september!

Congrats to everyone! What an exciting time! I thought after months of reading everyone else's posts I should add one myself!

I was flat out rejected by CSU's vet program and was an alternate for the MPH/DVM program. Since this was my 2nd application cycle and had my heart broken last year after I wasn't even offered interviews, I was very pessimistic about getting into the dual degree program. Then BAM! I received a call and email offering me a position into the dual degree program! 😀

Question: Do I go for it or go to Illinois (IS: half the amount of debt is pretty enticing)

:clap::clap:Congrats! That's awsome:clap::clap:

and I love the avitar WildSmile🙂

Good luck this week to everyone waiting!!! Hope that this thread fills up really soon! :luck::luck::luck::luck::luck:
