Yeah I need to bring a camera. My wife is like, "make sure you check out all the parks and kid stuff nearby. Find out if there are good neighborhoods. Etc etc" and I'm all, I don't know what to look for. I lived in crazy ghetto apartments in Argentina for 2 yrs so I really don't know what's acceptable for a wife and 2.5 yr old girl but hey, no pressure. Lol

Hahahaha she sounds exactly like my fiance "check out the parks and schools!" thats all she cares about.

Got my first rejection today!!

WOOOOHHH!

*sobs*

Ok so I just got a new diving mask today and am going to a local reservoir with my boy scout group. I am SO excited to go diving!!!

It was from Wake Forrest.

Boy scouts huh? That's cool, you guys gonna celebrate at Chick-fil-a after?

Oh my gosh, seriously? Lol
All I know is I was a boy scout and was glad for the opportunities that it gave me and I really enjoy mentoring young boys, and I get to do cool things like go mountain biking last week and swimming today. That's all I know or really care about. Lol

Oh and yeah, we just might hit up a chik-fil-a afterwards. Darn good chicken after all. Ha ha

I loved boy scouts too...had some epic scout camps. One had mountain bikes, sail boats, sail boards, canoes, river kayaks, archery contests, shooting range, fire building contests, hatchet throwing, ropes course, downhill skiing on plastic matts (it was summer)...and maybe other stuff.

I also like to camp and we camped and fished every other month it seemed like...Good times.

And, as a side note, I love Chick-fil-a and have family members and friends who are gay, and we all still eat there. My fast food choices are not political statements... 😀

The street down the street from my (before med school) home is named Yolo.

I wonder if there is only one?

What about YOLO's little brother, YODO? We should give him some love too.

Poor YODO, people dont like him because they are all too busy YOLOing....tisk tisk.

Well, it is true that not as many people are YODOing as there are YOLOing. That's why the population keeps on increasing.

Wow watch out for that street. I'm sure there is gonna be a HUGE rush of hipsters over there with their thick red (fake) glasses, untied nikes, ninja turtles backback and oversized lime green wrist watch.

On this subject, does anyone else have friends on facebook that "like" those stupid quotes which always have a random picture of Drake in them? The quote usually says something like " treat her right, or she will find someone else who will." i instantly unfriend every person who likes those stupid things.

I apologize for starting this YOLO spam.

JK, Im doing the same...got another semester going down that should give me another bump or two

Hax. Increasing GPA is not allowed post-primary-submission!

I hope it helps 🙂

No just updated transcript. The first GPA bump was due to a verification error. A course wasn't entered on my AACOMAS even though it was on my transcript. The second is from summer school classes.

I'm going to send out my Fall grades too. Hopefully they'll get me over the 3.30 mark.

I kicked a rock really hard by accident. It was under a bush. My toenail has now fallen off and it looks pretty funky/cool. Just thought I'd share this little off-topic tidbit.

I am hardcore studying anatomy right now, so I am intrigued by this unfortunate mishap. Which toe was it? Sensory information from the toe may be traced back to the L4, L5 or S1 dermatome, depending which toe it was (according to Gray's).

P.S. Hope you feel better. My dad showed me his toe after a couple toenails fell off from running a lot)... funky cool indeed.

Right pinky toe. It hurt really bad when it happened but only throbs occasionally now. This was a week ago tomorrow. I think what happened was that the rock actually peeled my toenail up most of the way. Yum

Was there a lot of blood? Mmm, iron.

May I ask why(how?) you were walking under a bush?

😉

Ha ha. Very funny. Desert shrubbery is all over here in southern utah. I was just walking and my foot passed under a bush and violà! Loosened toenail. And yes, there was a lot of blood.

Better wrap it up, B.

Were you wearing open-toed heels or something? If i was walking near desert shrubbery, I'd be wearing some good boots.

Just picked up a Wallybag with shoe pockets. $47 from Amazon.

Not open shoes, but a mesh-like running shoe. It feels pretty good now. Good enough that I went cliff jumping the other day. I had a LOT of fun, can't wait to go back! Ha ha ha

Cliff jumping sounds pretty fun. I was going to do it when my family was in Hawaii but we didn't have enough time. I did manage to go parasailing for the first time, which was awesome. Not sure if I want to try skydiving just yet, but it is on my bucket list.

Got back from a cruise the other day, twas awesome. I have a sweet tan going on now.
Tonight going to Neon Tree's concert and tomorrow have a pool party to go to.

I love having time off school.

Haha...Southern Utah is awesome. Moab has amazing mountain biking and Lake Powell is the real deal. Hopefully your cliff jumping involved water

Awesome! Cruises are my favorite vacations. Where did you go?

Also, Neon Tree's are great...I saw them when they played at a really small Venue before they were big...maybe 50 people, and they already rocked back then. Im sure the concert was pretty cool

Hmmm, you love southern Utah, know specifics about the geography, and saw neon trees "before they were big"...are you from Utah? If so, are you a Mormon? Lol

We stopped in Keywest, Jamaica and Grand Caymen. I wanted to stop by Dominca so I could enroll at Ross unfortunately the captain wouldn't divert his route.

I had no idea who Neon Tree's were up until about a week ago but when my buddy told me about them. I'm more of a screamo music kinda guy

That sounds like an awesome cruise. Grand Cayman is by far my favorite Carib island. I've been to Dominica before, it was pretty cool. Haven't been to Jamaica but have heard great things.

I've heard "Everybody Talks" by Neon Trees on the radio before but never realized it was them until now. They are decent. Not a fan of screamo...but to each his own. Just reminds me of middle school and freshman year of high school, before I realized that Classic Rock dominates everything else (in my book).

Classic rock FTW. Although I've noticed some people's description of classic rock differs.
Only cruise I've been on went from Tampa to cozumel and back. Pretty awesome.

True. It's hard to define Classic Rock because there are so many sounds from those decades.

Was the Tampa-Cozumel-Tampa a Carnival cruise? I went on that one with my girlfriend and some college friends a few months back. Cruises are always fun times 😎... no pun intended on the Carnival mag Fun Times 😀

I went to Cozumel several years back. Great cruise. They are so expensive though. I spent over 1k on this cruise =x

Yea I still listen to screamo, I haven't grown up. I dont care though because that shiz is still awesome. I'll be 40 years old listening to 'A Day to Remember'.

iCruise.com = cheap cruises. My cruise to Cozumel was like $300.

lol :smack: JK. "Rock" on dude. 😎

haha it all fits right...but no, not from Utah but I have family there. My dad grew up in richfield and my mom in provo, but I grew up elsewhere...several states. But yes to being LDS, and liking neon trees! I actually have seen them a few times a velour if you know provo. And my family goes to lake Powell often enough and it one of my favorites as well.👍

I've dont that cruise!! Great one...I love Cozumel the most.

But yeah, you dont have to spend a ton for a cruise...just get a inside stateroom and go with carnival or RC. Its still a ton of fun.

Ive done two more expensive cruises, and its nice to have a balcony to wake up to in the morning, but heading up to the sun deck is just about the same and solo much cheaper.

Anyway...cool deal, Im doing another cruise here this fall. Not sure which one yet, but I think eastern or souther Caribbean this time. Belize looks pretty cool...😎

Ha! I knew it. I almost just posted saying, RULDS2? Lol
