Well, I don't know, but UNC, which also has that system for in-state students, says that they'll contact you within 2-4 weeks after you submit your secondary about an interview date. So, get the secondary in ASAP.

yeah im planning on it, especially since there are no essays. i am OOS state though, i wonder if this makes any difference, do you know?

just got this from VCU. I can't tell if it's good or bad (this is after I submitted their secondary). did anyone else get something like this?



The committee's file review indicates that they would like to consider your file further. We are now in the process of scheduling interviews and will continue to do so through February. Unfortunately, the committee indicates interest in far more candidates than we are able to interview. Since we are dependent on the Committee member's schedules for interview spaces, we are unable to predict when or if we will be able to schedule you this year. Please continue to check this site to learn when further action has been taken.

It all depends on the school. If they give you an online status page you can see when you're complete. Others email you when you're complete because they don't have a status page (like GW and Rosalind Franklin), while others you just have to call if you want to check on whether you're complete (i.e., Tulane).

i got that same exact message last year, probably a little later in august. i then received an interview invite in mid/late november. i do know others, however, that received this message but never got an interview. it really is a "hold until we see who else is applying" type thing i think.

Also, to answer those questions from others about my stats as someone who got a Pritzker interview, isn't that what MDApps are for? 😀 Check it out, since two out of the three of us listed here have proflies (and if you do a search for the 2008 app cycle, incomplete profiles, who have received a Prtizker invite you'll see three proflies). PM me if you have questions about something not included on there.

And phantomx87, I think the only places on here with auto-invites are Pitt and UMich, and anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Baylor: The admissions office said that they'll start sending out interview invites in about a month, and that you don't need to be checking the status page to find out. I think she said they send them out via email.
 
Tulane never told me I was complete (I think you have to call to find out?) but I sent my app on 7/3 and my letters on 7/5.
 
everything was delivered (i used fedex) on 7/9. i finally called tulane on 7/23, though i'm sure i was complete before that.

Pitt signed for my UPS-delivered rec letters at the beginning of the month, but on my status page, it still says that they haven't received my letters....I e-mailed adcom the other day, and I heard back within 5 minutes saying something like....we are backed up with rec letters....but it seems like everybody's been complete at Pitt really quickly. Maybe they just don't like me 🙁

Not complete, but they give out interviews to some applicants without letters.

Nah, I'm in the same boat with Pitt. I called two weeks ago and the guy said they were backed up and they should be up soon, and they still aren't.

Thanks, I was marked complete 7/17 and I got an email this morning saying there was a new message in iapply. When I logged in nothing showed up, so I called and they let me know.
 
I too got an invite from Case today 😀... my first invite! I knew my alma mater would come through.

Of course, now I'm more undecided on whether to retake my MCAT or not...

Have you gotten your interview packet yet? The lady said she'd drop it in the mail last week, and it usually only takes 2-3 days for mail to get here from SC...

I applied to only the university program (and also the combined MS program in clinical investigation)
