I also applied to SUNY Albany.. It seems that from last year's thread, the interview date for them was early March, so I'm guessing they're not very rushed to send out invites.. Just my guess.

I read somewhere on their website or something that this year their interview will be either the first or second Saturday of March. I forget where I got that information exactly though, but I'm not making it up because I arranged to have time off from work the day before so I could travel if I got an interview. Haha!

Speaking of application nightmares, my coworker is applying to UCLA's PhD program and had a hell of a time tracking down the check he sent for his application payment... Apparently they won't let you pay that online? So they couldn't find the check because they posted the wrong mailing address or something online, which ultimately resulted in his final payment being late since they didn't tell him there was a problem until weeks after he sent the first check. Of course.

You'd think, after going through this process a bazillion times, these schools (especially one as high-ranked as UCLA!) would get on the ball with making things easier and more sensical for applicants...

I didn't send any checks out for application fees, and I'm confident I paid online for UCLA.

My POI at UNC-Greensboro emailed me this afternoon asking me if I was still interested in the program because she didn't want to invite anyone who wasn't ... she said she would be finalizing her list tomorrow and contacting students Friday/Saturday.

Interview dates are 2/22 and 3/3.

ETA: She specifically stated: "The clinical faculty are meeting tomorrow to construct of list of students to interview." I wonder if she really emailed all of her potential invites?

ETA (2): UNCG does not offer phone interviews. They only admit in person interviewees. I asked for a phone interview, unless they could help with the travel costs. The faculty will make final decisions tomorrow morning.

I'm still wondering who the applicant w/ a bad experience at UNCG was trying to work with ...

I haven't heard from MSPP yet, and I haven't finished my app to ChicagoSPP yet--isn't it due on the 15th? Anyone have any insight into the (comparative) reputation of these two schools?

I received an invite to the Chicago School of Professional Psych. Psy.D. back on 1/8/08.

Interview dates are .January 28, 2008.
.February 4, 2008.
.February 11, 2008.

I'm going on the 4th.

I'm not able to speak for myself here (yet?), but another co-worker at the APA just got an interview for GW's Psy.D program via phone call. Interviews will be held on 2/22. They started making the calls this week...calls will continue through next week as well.

the secretary confirmed this morning that all invitations have NOT yet been sent out.

I got my first interview invite today!!! The SUNY Albany School Psych PsyD program secretary called just now and informed me that I have been invited to interview!!! She gave me the choice of interviewing on Feb. 28 or Feb. 29. I'm going on the 29! So EXCITED!!!!! Time to go out and buy a nice pant suit 🙂

FYI just got a call this morning from an admin assistant inviting me to interview for their clinical psych PsyD program! I'm guessing they are in the early stages of invites as nobody else has reported getting an invite (at least not that I am aware of...I believe all the other reports of denver invites were for their PhD program). Anyway, just wanted to pass it along so fellow applicants know that invites are now coming out! GOOD LUCK!!!

I got a call from my POI at UNC yesterday and had an informal phone interview. He indictaed that I will be notified by Monday if I am selected for an interview, so back to the stess of waitiiing... It's my top choice and I was rejected from there last year.. but DONT PANIC if u dont hear from them by today..

I also got an interview at GSU for the joint clinical-community program, interview date is Feb. 15

and someone asked about Miami (OH), I got an interview there, interview dates are 2/29 and 3/3.

this sounds better than it is.. 5 schools are off my list already🙁

Each professor, individually, will contact you via email or phone if interested. She said if I hadn't heard in about 3 weeks that I should call back for a status update of my file.

I called UNC today and was told that all invites were extended today. Bummer 🙁

Also, I was contacted by my POI at University of Illinois at Chicago asking to set up a phone interview for Monday. I spoke with the administrator at UIC today as well and she told me that there is an interview date set for March 7 but POI's often conduct phone interviews instead before AND after that March 7th date.

Thanks for the update! I talked to someone there a couple of days ago, and they implied that they would be done within the next few days. I was about ready to drop a few tears in my beer over the weekend.......just shows you, you never know when a program will run late with interview invites.
