FYI, the secretary at Georgia State said interview decisions would be made on Monday and applicants will be notified no later than January 30 via phone and email.

Also, Syracuse applications are still in review but the interview dates (tentatively) are 2/11 or 2/25.

Well, I applied to only Counseling Psych programs... and UT Austin told me that invites for Counseling would not all go out until the end of the month. Last week I was told they were still reviewing.....

I don't know what to think about any of this anymore... even looking at last years thread wasn't too helpful.... some of my schools sent out interviews super early last year... but this year haven't even started reviewing.... and vice versa....

Whatever... if I wasn't at work, I would be having a beer to relax with all this right now...
 
Catholic also has another set of interviews 2/25 and 2/26. Candidates are scheduled for 3 hr slots 9-12pm and 12-3pm. Don't lose hope!

I got an email from Kent State about 2 weeks ago. Their interview dates are 2/8-2/9 or 2/21-2/22 (you pick). I'm pretty sure they already sent out all their invites. Sorry 🙁

I applied there last year and I know that they still accept applications after the official deadline so they take a while to go through them. I didn't get my rejection letter until April.
 
One thing about U of Southern California:

I had an e-mail requested phone interview with the Clinical Director on or around 12/20 and she mentioned interview dates of 1/11 and 2/11.

However, I haven't heard anything since then. Stinks because we had a nice conversation and she seemed very interested and enthusiastic. 👎
 
Interviews at Texas Tech University are scheduled for 2/9.

Another member received an email invitation (individual) on 1/15.

On 1/23, the secretary reported that invitations would be furnished by 1/24, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely. :scared:

My POI contacted me to keep me updated on the interview process (and invited me) on 1/15, but she led me to believe that this was among the first contacts TT professors had with prospective students they were inviting to interview. I'm not sure if all professors there have contacted the people they want to interview at this point, but I do know that 1/15 was just the beginning of the inviting to interview process at Texas Tech.

One never knows. In previous cycles, I applied to a few programs where my primary POI ended up not accepting students for various reasons. At one, I had a professor who I never even mentioned requested an interview with me. At another, I applied to work with Professor A primarily but then included a short note that basically indicated I would be willing to work with Professors B or C as well. Prof A ended up retiring, Prof C extended my invite, and then Prof B accepted me. So you never what's going to happen!

I spoke to the graduate person at Fairleigh Dickinson, who said that interviews are the 16th and 17th of February.
 
My POI cotacted me this afternoon to schedule an interview.

They will be conducted on 2/29 and 3/3 and consist of a faculty presentation, luncheon, and individual interviews with POIs, for which you can sign-up on the day of the interview.:hardy:

I haven't heard from McGill yet, I don't know if that means anything though!!

I got an interview through e-mail notification for Counseling Psyc at Louisiana Tech University today- if any of you are looking for info on that school. Its on 2/15

Just got my first interview invite of this round - U of Indianapolis!!!

Got an e-mail from a lady there though invites are going out via snail mail (they sent mine out on the 15th but it was returned b/c my apartment number wasn't on there). Interview is 2/16 😀😀😀

Hip Hip Hooray! Sooo happy for you!! I can't imagine how frustrating it was running the thread and waiting to be able to post your own invite. Congrats!
 
For those people wondering about USF Clinical--

I called the grad sec today and she said the admissions people met this afternoon (coincidentally) and they would be emailing invitations out this weekend or on Monday.

I got an e-mail today from Columbia U - teachers college that they are reviewing the applications and will soon send out the invites. The interview dates are February 21 and 22 from 9am - 6 pm. It's for those who applied for the counseling psychology program. If invited, we can select between those dates. We only have to visit one of those days.

I am new to this, but thank god I found it. I have already crossed off my top 2 schools from my list, cried :scared: and had a chance to recover now that I know they already called for interviews.

This is my 3rd round of applications since I got my BA in 03 and MA in 05 while waiting to get in. This is also my 1st interview🙂, and likely I will only have one, so I anticipate the odds are I will apply again next year. This process sucks. I am published. I have a 4.0, my GRE's suck, I have 19 posters at International conferences, I am a study coordinator/MRI tech at a VA hospital and have been teaching graduate and undergraduate statistics for over 2 years at a State University in the Psychology Department and have excellent reviews. It is all a game, hopefully I am getting better at it.🙄
 
I am still holding on so tight....I guess crying does not = over it. Bummer.

I also found out that I was rejected from two schools (nothing official really, I didn't get an interview). I'm supposed to get news about the results from another school very soon. :scared: I have an interview two days later and I don't know how I can handle it if I find out I got rejected again. I'm trying hard to concentrate on my next interview and be strong though. Hope you'll get to hear some good news sooner or later.

hang in there. We are all going through it. Checking this thread every 12 seconds is not very helpful for anxiety as originally thought, but know that you are not alone.

Incidently, I work in a UCDavis Neuroscience lab. I was told by my prof that they haven't done anything yet with applications. So, there IS still hope. Based on your name, are you interested in electrophysiology as a method? Did you write to Steve Luck at Davis? Maybe Cliff Saron?
 
YES!!! I wrote to Steve Luck and YES, ERPs as a method...what did you hear??
