I'm really sick of waiting. This is year number two, and a two year total of six waitlists for me, and I am NOT looking forward to year number three.

Good question. Good because that would mean your school has people ahead of you on the waitlist. Bad becasue it might mean low moveemnt form these school. I guess you already knew that. So I'd say, if its a school you expect to see a lot of WL movement from, then thats a good sign. If its from a school where you dont expect much movement, bad sign. Just my $.02

Eh, same here, the schools I am WL at have not shown up here either... I'm hoping it is because they are taking their time and not because of a poor WL season/I missed out on it....

too late, i already started on that. i already sent in transcripts and amcas rec letters. i will assume the worst and proceed with the application. the 2008-2009 application is done except for the personal statement (which will take me 2 to 3 weeks to complete).

My transcripts went out as well last Thursday. In the AMCAS tips for applicants 2009, it recommends completing sections 1 and 2 (not necessarily the grades, but the schools section) and then sending in your transcripts (so that they know what to receive)!

Getting them in is smart, because it will only allow them to process them on day one. Of course, I would rather get off of the wait list and not have to worry about it, but I do want to make sure to increase my chances for next year if not...

I have officially withdrawn from the waitlists at Duke, Sinai, Cornell, UVA, and Pitt. It took maybe half an hour. Withdrawing my Rochester acceptance is going to take a wee bit longer, because I want to compose a really heartfelt email to them. I mean, they were the only school to offer me an outright acceptance and I want to show them the care and gratitude that they deserve! Here's hoping for more waitlist acceptances today!!!! YOUR DAY WILL COME SOON EVERYONE!
