Did they happen to call from an unavailable number? I knew they were doing some calls today and I missed a call from an unavailable number and I freaked out. But there was no voicemail. I'm just hoping its them and they'll call back tomorrow

Nope, it was a 732 area code number. They called me about 3pm so I'm sure they are still making calls and more people will hear in the next few days.

Best of luck!

has anyone heard from UMass Boston? the email from the dept asst last week said we would hear today or shortly there after! i'm pretty much convinced that i'm not going to be getting in anywhere this year, but it'd be nice to know if anyone heard so i can resign myself to my new reality

I didn't hear anything today but will be anxiously waiting by my phone all day tomorrow.

Hi again SDN,

I received a call late tonight (8:00pm Eastern) from my POI at UMass Boston (Clinical Ph.D) inviting me for an interview on February 6th or 13th. Good luck to everyone!

Someone on thegradcafe posted

Northwestern University
Clinical Psychology-med School, PhD
nterview via Phone on 27 Jan 2009 A
feinberg school of med program- inter week 3/13, department is starting to call for interviews today

😕

I dont know how reliable it is.. anyone else hear from them?

that was me. yes its reliable.

waiting and waiting... I'm so tired of waiting 🙁

It surely sucks to wait 😡

Stony Brook, U. Delaware, Georgia State...

Have you heard anything from them?

By the way, I'm new here. Hope we all are accepted somewhere... :xf:

Carlow uni just started reviewing apps on 1.15...how long do you think until they start sending invites? i am guessing about 4 weeks based on looking at this thread, but i am not sure. anyone else apply to carlow?

Anyone hear from Wayne State, Texas Tech, Virginia Consortium, Utah State, or Wichita State?

Nothing from VA Consortium yet! I did receive an e-mail from the admissions secretary awhile back stating that they received my application. She said in the e-mail that they should decide "by the beginning of February" those candidates they'd like to interview. So hopefully we'll be hearing soon!:xf:

I just received a rejection email from DePaul yet received an interview invite email this morning. 😡

were you able to qualify with them whether you actually got it or not? that's so awful.

Did you folk read about William and Mary pulling out of the Consortium? I keep wondering how that'll affect things. Oh, and I applied and haven't heard anything either since the 'we got your application email' a while ago.

Anyone got an update from Southern Mississippi Clinical PhD? I checked their website...maybe I'm incompetent...but I can not find a contact for general application questions.

Ugh. Start of a new day. 24 more hours of obsessing, worrying, and obsessively checking this site! :scared:

By my count, we should be hearing back from UFlorida, Case Western, Washington and Vanderbilt today/this week. Could people please update either if they have already heard, or else, update the second that they hear from any of these schools??? (I think Washington and Vanderbilt may have been sending out invites gradually). Thanks!!!

I'm waiting to hear from Georgia State too. I might give them and Chapel Hill a call tomorrow just to keep my nerves in check.

The program assistant at GSU said she would have all invites out by today, hopefully. Friday at the absolute latest but she was pretty certain she would have them all out by today.

Sorry, I don't have any info on any of these schools. But, I'm wondering if you're talking about University of Washington in Seattle or Washington University in St. Louis? I applied to UW and it said on their website that they typically start extending interview invitations in February. Did you hear that they're going out this week?

I was hoping to hear from U Mass Boston today, but I just looked at their website and the whole campus is closed today "due to inclement weather." Bummer!

Got a letter of acceptance w/o interview. i'd be psyched if not for the cost of the program. ~36k/yr with little apparent financial support.

:luck:, everyone (including me 😀)

This happened to me too. When I called they said they only interview candidates they are unsure of...I feel like PGSP is still a bit of a mystery. They seem to have a lot of students for the number of professors, but then here: http://www.socialpsychology.org/clinrank.htm they are ranked decently, even ahead of some of the more traditional programs I applied to....

Can the person (or anyone) who heard from Rutgers Ph.D. PM me with the name of their POI?

Anyone heard from Binghamton yet?
Also, this may be a stupid question, but if you were not offered an interview on the dates listed in this forum, does that mean you are full on rejected?

sad news for anybody waiting on schools in the Northeast. Due to the "ice storm" (which, to me looks, just like regular rain but what do I know), most if not all schools in the area are closed. I teach at a college here and my school announced closure today (the first day of class!) at about 7 am. So that might have an effect on invitations.

Rutgers I know is closed, but I am not sure if the offices are still open. I am still waiting to hear from them as well.

haha, so let me just chime in and say that I live in Boston, and so don't expect to be in touch with any Boston schools today.. we are basically in blizzard conditions!

hi can someone please pm me their POI for rutgers and umass?
thank you!

everyone who got an interview at Temple----

have you heard back from Dr. Fauber about your interview date? I emailed him yesterday to see if they'd figured out the schedule, but haven't gotten a response. I really, really hope he writes back today, so I can make travel plans, especially since the interview could be this coming Monday!

I've been wondering about that too. I looked yesterday and someone said they were accepted to University of Utah's developmental psych program by phone on Jan 16th. Yet, I know that they're just now starting to go over the clinical apps so it would be strange if part of their department has already made offers. The whole thing was a little weird. I check gradcafe, but I wouldn't trust it 100%. 😉

I dont know; at one of my interview weekends they said that ALL the other psych programs were having an accepted students weekend at the same time...so we get to hang out with all the developmental and counseling students that are already in when we're still being interviewed for clinical...

You are going to Temple? Have you ever been to Philly before? You are going to LOVE it. It is an amazing, super funky city... If I hadn't been raised there, I'd be applying! If you have time, make sure to visit South Street... 😉

Has anyone else heard from Rutgers? I keep waiting for my phone to ring, but given that half the country has a snow day, Im not sure its going to happen today!

They have some prestigious faculty members there, including Phillip Zimbardo. It may be a bit of a degree mill for certain students. however, I think that it's probably a good school where you can get as much out of it as you put in to it. The area is rich with resources including Stanford UCSF, Berkeley, but it's probably pretty competitive for internships, clients, and faculty positions around there. best of luck!

Rutgers is open, but I haven't heard. I would very much like to. I realize that's obvious, but...

I would also like a large database of applicants to graduate programs. I realize the programs release some information about who gets accepted - GRE scores, GPA - but it would be very helpful to know who is applying and who is getting accepted. GRE, GPA, previous grad work, publications, recommender titles... It would tell us a lot about what the schools actually care about (as opposed to what they claim to care about).

Really, though, it's probably best if I don't know. It would only feed my simmering anxiety and hostility.

Thanks for letting me know!!

Has anyone heard from the Pace PsyD/MSEd program?

Just as a heads up, George Washington's Clinical PhD program will not extend invites until the first week of February. Interviews will be on Feb 27th and March 2nd.

Check out the threads here about PGSP. Apparently they kind of rip you off money-wise.

Frankly, I would be concerned that they accept people without interviews.

Oh, and yes, I would also like to know when U Washington (Seattle) is extending invites!

AlexSuperTramp, I also applied to Carlow & I spoke with them yesterday as they were missing a few materials from me. They let me know they needed it all to them by next week as that is when interview decisions would be made.

Hey Everybody,

I heard from the grad secretary at University of Utah (clinical program) that faculty will be making calls this week to potential invites and formal interview invites next week.

AHHHH the dreaded phone-screening-interview...

:luck::luck::luck::luck::luck:to all Utah fans:luck::luck::luck::luck::luck:

I am also waiting for Binghamton!!

And, it's not a stupid question, but don't worry if you haven't yet gotten an interview when someone else has on the form already! From what I've heard, many schools take a while to extend all of their invites. So there is still much hope! Good luck!!

yes! I just got an email from the assistant DCT and I'll be in Philly on Monday for an interview!!! I'm so excited. I'm from central Pennsylvania, so I've been to Philly a bunch, but mainly just for field trips-- I can't wait to go as an adult and will definitely check out South Street (but probably after my interview!).

To anyone who emailed your POI about whether invites had gone out and if there would be any further invites, how did you word the email?

Good luck to you too!!

Just got an email from the Graduate Affairs Officer at Berkeley inviting me to interview there on Feb. 20!

Just received an email from a family member in Boston...Telecommunications are down. Nothing going in or out. At least if I don't hear from schools there today, I won't freak out (as much).

Was this for the clinical phd? (I'm not applying there, but my husband is.) Thanks and congrats!

How did you find that out? Did you call? I have been waiting on them and kind of freaking out since the Psy.D. program started giving out invites...:scared:
