For the people that got interviews to NOVA, first and foremost, congrats! You guys are going to do great! Secondly, I was wondering if you got an email about the supplemental/fee before you got the interview invite. I'm second batch and I have yet to hear back from NOVA.

My second acceptance was Creighton. Yes, an expensive private school. However, tOSU was my FIRST choice mainly for the instate tuition, since I'm originally from Nebraska, but have been in Ohio for 10 years. Hence, my question as to why MWU was a persons first choice. I did not realize AZ did not have a state school.

I received an interview invite from NOVA yesterday, and I was first batch. I received an email about supplemental/fee about 6 days ago. I immediately filled out the supplemental, and then a day or two later, they called me to verify my information. And then a few days later an invite.

Hang tight! Second batch is still early. Good luck.

This is my second year applying to dental schools and last cycle did not receive a single interview... it was a long year. But I can finally say I just got my first invitation ever!

Hi ~Anyone know how to send secondary application fee to Pittsburgh? On the web, it says send check. But I heard someone said they don't accept personal check. So should I just send a money order?
I e-submitted my primary application yesterday, working on the secondaries now. I apply to 11 school on aadsas plus 3 Texas school. After submitting few secondaries fee for some schools, I start to feel bad for my mom's credit card.... 😕

Yes, for Pittsburgh you have to send a cashiers check or a money order in the mail and email a photo

I sent a personal check and it worked, but they have changed their website since I sent it and it now says personal checks are not accepted, so I would probably do a cashier's check.[/QUOTE]

I sent a personal check and they received it just fine.

The only reason they wouldn't accept a personal check is if you're an international applicant.

It says so pretty clearly on the AADSAS supplemental info page....

  • Processing fee $50
  • Processing fee $75 (International students - Cashier's check or Money order only)

Did anyone email a photo to them? They said online submissions are okay so I mailed a check but sent my 2x2 photo to the email they have posted on the AADSAS supplemental page.

Their website said personal checks will not be accepted...
I emailed them a 2x2 photo and got an email a few days later that the fee and photo were received.

I sent a 2x2 photo by mail but I saw a number of people from the school specific Pitt thread mentioned they emailed the photo and had no problems doing it that way.

I agree it seemed pretty clear on the AADSAS supplemental page that cashier's check/money order's were only for international but on the website it says:
"A cashier’s check or money order to cover the application fee of $50 ($75 for international/transfer applicants) made payable to the University of Pittsburgh. Personal checks will not be accepted."

I sent a personal check last week so I guess I need to email them to find out if they will accept it...

I think my favorite supplemental info from AADSAS is Marquette's. It's contradictory. Like ???

Well @jweaver421 said above they sent a personal check and had no problems but I was going to email them to verify this and will get back to you on it.

Haha yes I was thinking the same thing... wtf do they want you to do? I just went and checked their website and it says:
"After completing the AADSAS application, the student should forward a $45 processing/application fee to the Marquette University School of Dentistry"

So I'm assuming you can go ahead and send the fee after submitting your AADSAS application and don't have to wait until you hear from the Admissions Office.
