LizzyM <70. Applied to 39 schools (5 DO, the rest MD)
Interviews: 2 in Texas, 1 in Virginia
Secondaries: Mayo, WFSOM, and UCSF
Rejections: Tulane, MSU CHM, Keck

Just out of curiosity, since it's now officially November...odds II are still going out?

Fingers crossed.

And yes of course they are still going out. Probably in fewer quantity, but I do assume there will atleast be one more big push, last time I checked around here people were assuming most schools had sent around 30-60% of their interviews for the cycle...Total speculation though.

If my letters weren't in until about 9/1, how long do you think it would take for other IIs?

Same here! I have two, but one if from WVU that waitlists everyone OOS and the other is a state school. Silence from my other state school...

Hi all, I have a great update! Accepted to UC Irvine last night! I got the call as I was on the way to the airport to go to another interview, so got to turn around go home instead. Hopefully this makes room for 3 more forum member to get II's (bc withdrawing from another future interview, and got waitlisted at Georgetown this morning but will decline). In total: Non-trad postbacc candidate LizzyM 67 Applied 28MD Secondary: 25 II:4 Attended: 2 Waitlist: 1 Accepted:1!

Rejections:2
Silence:11

Sigh...rejections came within 10 minutes on one day. At this point, just hoping my state schools take care of me!

Zero rejections (probably a formality by now)

One acceptance

There's still II to be given at most, if not all, schools. We're all in this together! I love underdog stories!

Haven't heard from you in a while! Good luck on the cycle!

Ps. If this entire week passes with continued complete radio silence I am really going to start getting worried.

There are a lot of external forces in this world that are aiming to get you down (E.G.: negative competition, other places on SDN, doubters/haters), but don't let them influence your motivations! At the end of the day, you are the one running your own race - so if you convince yourself that it's lost then you've set yourself up for failure. Don't become part of the cacophony of negativity, instead aim to make each persons day a bit more positive and they'll return the favor. Trust me 😉

That being said, also make sure to take steps for the "What-ifs" of not getting in. I'm a re-applicant and took advantage of the extra year to improve my application and qualifications. So while you should remain confident and positive, also be pragmatic and aim to improve yourself daily! 🙂

I need patience, help me guys!!!
I should hear back from two of my schools by Thanksgiving, Drexel probably in December.
I just want some encouraging news from somewhere.

Now I'm looking at blowing money on applying to more schools that don't have secondary essays and just throwing my hat into the ring.
I'm just frustrated over this constant silence :/ I also want to really hear from a few schools in particular that I haven't yet (PSU, Temple, Wake Forest...) but no such luck. When should I give up hope on these schools?

Yes, I know I have 5 II already, but I want to be sure I'm going to a school that is the best fit for me, and the only way I'll ever know that is to interview at as many schools as possible.
