When were you complete? I was complete mid august to Rush and Albany and haven't heard anything yet.

This process is much less stressful now that I have an acceptance! I withdrew from one of my remaining interviews and my other one is an II at Emory that I got last week! Beyond excited!

I didn't want to jump in because I'm only applying to 1 school this year (applied to ~20 last year with no research experience and one II), but I guess I will for luck.

Does anybody know if a balanced LizzyM is better than my unbalanced score? I feel like my chances would be better if I had the same LizzyM score but a 3.7 GPA and 32 MCAT. Also, during my first 2 years of undergrad I had a cGPA of ~2.1 (pre-military), and during 4 additional years of undergrad I had a cGPA of ~3.85 (post-military).

its hard to tell, but I 'm not keeping my hopes up at the moment for that particular school because they only have 20 spots for their MD only program lol.
They interviewed 72 people out of 1800 complete applications and they accept 20 of those 72. lol.
I did get another interview at my 2nd state school though! And its my first choice MD school. (would be amazing if I got in there, and unlike my other state school... this one actually has a normal number of seats lol) I also got into my first choice DO school as well.
Congrats! I'm happy to hear things are getting better for you! Stay positive.
congratz man! I'm so happy and proud of you. Be sure to let us know how it all turns out (even at the end of the cycle for anonymous purposes, trust us, all neurotic premeds think alike 😉

Complete late August with 2 acceptances? Wow that's great! Are those DO schools or MD?
MD! To be fair, the only reason I wasn't complete earlier was because I was waiting on my committee letter to go through. Two schools offered me interview invites prior to receiving all of my LORs.
You got this! Forgive me, I used Harrison on you because I think I got cocky for one of mine...and thus, heard nothing on 10/15. Don't do what I did! Good luck man!

You are not alone. Although I don't have any rejections thus far (and I hope it stays that way), the radio silence is the worst.

Haven't posted in a while but I feel now is the time getting my first acceptance yesterday.

submitted everything very early. I love the "underdog" threads, I really do. I think of it like Payton Manning vs Tom Brady. Both all time greats but one guy had his road paved for him (Manning) with his dad and being picked #1 but Brady had to work his butt off and get picked #199 and still to this day after 4 super bowls still doesn't get respect. Whatever. because he's the best, he won four, the underdog will always be the underdog to others but man it feels good to have a win. And Also know that you can compete with those you perceive as "the best" and all that matters is your goals and not what other people think.
PS: sorry if the sports analogy doesn't work for everyone
