The interview dates are chosen way in advance. The people who are receiving the invites with the interview date very close are because someone declined their invite or changed their mind. So they quickly try to fill it with the next person. Otherwise, most schools provide adequate time from notification to interview date. That's just my take though so I can be wrong.

I loved UCSF when I went! 🙂 When is your interview?
 
I've mentioned this before, but for everyone who keeps saying that this cycle is different, it's most likely not that way. Just because NYU and UNLV (among a few others) have said they are giving out less invites, does that necessarily mean that every other school is following suit?

Is it more likely that all the dental schools suddenly gave less invites this cycle, or that pre-dents are posting interviews less frequently? Also, it's November, so a lot of these schools are still going to give out interviews into January. Especially after they hear back from their December 1st offers. Ya'll got this.
 
I have a question regarding lecom's letter of intent, do they only accept students who send a LOA?

Hi everyone, hope your week is off to a good start. I had asked a question on the NYU specific thread, but I didn't get any luck, I tried to find it on the official ADEA guide I bought, and still no luck.. SO.. I decided to ask on this thread.

From past/recent experiences.. does anyone know the average amount of people who are accepted at NYU, from pre-dec interviews?

They don't release that information. Some people say as high as 90% others as low as 50%. Its all speculation, and the reason they don't release it is because they dont want to give applicants a false sense of security. I would say a early pre-dec means you are in good shape.
