I also interviewed at Penn on Dec 8. I called and asked when we would hear back and they said the admissions committee won't be meeting again until mid January, so no chance of hearing until after that I guess. Good luck!
 
Question. So I've been accepted to a school, but there are other schools that I like that are still making a decision on me. I did really well last semester and over the summer, but this semester I got straight B's (worst quarter yet). Should I wait til mid January to send out my academic update since that's when I may hear back from the other schools before they receive the bad update?

I haven't been accepted but I'm in a similar situation lmao (not worst semester but quite the dropoff compared to my large improvements from last year)

Maybe some schools are actually holding off to send you invites because they wanna see your academic update. Idk, that's a good idea if you're in that situation but maybe it's also a good idea to send in the update and Finally hear back from schools leading You and us all on regarding a solid decision of whether or not to send you an interview or rejection lol

I'm too scared. While my overall stats remain nearly identical I'm disgusted with my final semester of college ;(

Congrats! May I ask you what is your stats and when did they reply you for the interviews? I'm planning either to applying late August/ September 2017 (because I will take the DAT next August/ Sep) or skip next cycle and apply 2018 cycle since my application 2017 is too late.

I took my DAT late August and applied and got 4 interviews so far. So if you're stats are fine and EC's are great and your overall app is competitive.. definitely do not skip the cycle next year.
 
Starting tomorrow the next round of acceptances should be trickling in! More variety of people should get them as many many people (at least on here) have gotten multiple offers that expired yesterday.

Mostly true, with the exception of people reserving more than one seat...

I would think most schools are still closed tomorrow to observe New Year's. Hopefully the trickling will be happening throughout this week though

Nope, just that any seat offered on the 1st of December has expired unless a deposit was placed. Therefore, if the class hasn't been filled, schools will be able to send out offers cause they know how many seats they have to fill.


Interviews are school specific, you could call the schools you are seeking interviews. I actually called one school, they said my app won't be reviewed for a month, got an invite the next day. Showing some interest can really help. I also had called and got a denial at a school. It can be either or. Schools probably review apps every 3-4 weeks for admissions, I am not positive on interviews though.
