How many years have you applied? The average is 3 years of applying before getting accepted. Some are lucky and get in on the first try, but it's not common. This is my 3rd year. 19AA 19TS oGPA 3.62, sGPA 3.74

I don't think luck has anything to do with getting in on the first try, it's how you sell yourself. No offense, but if you didn't get in after the first cycle, why not try and raise your AA? Your gpa is great

No data to support the claim, only talking to the Assistant Dean of admissions at the university of Oklahoma. At that school they keep all the applications that they receive and will even pull old records to check for differences over the years. He said Dental school is hard and he wants to make sure applicants are truly committed. Now I'm not saying 1st years won't get in, because I know some do, but the average is low. Also not all schools are like OU and their application process, but several are.

I don't know about you but my personal letter/statement has gotten better than the first time I applied. Looking back, I can see mistakes I made in previous application cycles. As for the DAT, no offense taken. I graduated in 2001 so it's been 16 years since I took some of these classes. I'm at peace with me 19AA.
