I am applying to college this summer and I don't even know how long I wanted to become a dentist. I am planning on majoring in chemical engineering, but it's just so heptic of trying to get into dental school. Any advice?

After completing an interview, is the decision solely based on your interview, and not on other aspects of your app? Basically is your application used just to review and see if you qualify for an interview?

I believe your application still has some impact on the school's decision after your interview. I once asked a school's representative about this and that's what she told me

Thank you! I almost didn't post because my GPA is so much lower than everyone else in this thread. My ECs are: 200 shadow hours, dental assistant for an oral surgeon for the past two years, research for a year, 200 volunteer hours, teaching assistant for biology, and 1,000 hours as a scribe in the emergency department. I believe that my LORs were very strong (especially from the oral surgeon that I work for) so I am sure that helped. I also come from a disadvantaged background and have faced a lot of adversity which was the theme of my PS so I believe that helped me stand out. I have a huge upward trend as well. I applied to 13 schools. Hope that helps, best of luck to you!!

Hey, I saw you got a interview at UAB and you are OOS. Are you currently a student at an Alabama school? I haven't heard of any other ppl getting OOS interviews at UAB yet.

Awesome! UAB is one of my top picks. If you dont mind me asking, when did you receive/send out your supplemental? Cause they sent me mine in the mail on Saturday, and I filled it out and mailed it back today. Just curious as to what the turn around time might be? Thanks!
 
Did anyone else receive a supplemental application invitation from the University of Florida today? If so, do you know where I can find the 8-digit UFID?

If you applied to UF before (undergrad, etc.), you should have one. Otherwise, I think you have to wait for them to assign it to you.

Yes! I had the same issue! First try logging in here. If you can, then "You may locate your UF Identification number (UFID) by clicking on the inverted arrow next to your name on your application status page." But, if you're like me, your login information won't work. So I had to call them, they bounced me around for a little but eventually gave me my UFID. Hope this helps, pm me if you encounter more problems.

No changes, it says verified across the board even though I have 3 interviews. I don't think there's a reason to check it until Dec 1st
