Thanks! Lol I’m as shocked as you are. Going in, I felt my strong points in my application were essays/personal statement and clinical experience, but tons of people could probably say the same...so who knows?

MCAT if you mind me asking? Congrats 🙂

I applied to my state schools and MD schools that were within 1-2 points of my MCAT score. I also have a strong upward trend. Don't lose hope if you are LM <70.

I applied to my state schools and all MD schools that were within 1-2 points of my MCAT score. I also have a strong upward trend. I have military service in the reserves, but i don't know if that helped boost my app that much or not to get some II's. Don't lose hope if you are LM <70.
What do you mean by 1-2 points? From average MCAT of the schools or the lower MCAT range?

Absolutely do not lose hope!!
I had a LM of 68 when I applied, got 10 II. Stats arent all the matter, if you have a good story, you can open doors for yourself!

LM: 67 or 68.5 (do you average the cGPA/sGPA?), ORM, non-trad
2°: 28
II: 6
R: 1

Don't get down on yourselves this cycle or compare to others, everyone. Every part of my app (LORs,Casper, etc.) was complete super early so I have heard back earlier from specific schools. I applied DO only in the last two weeks as I was burnt out from the MD secondaries and I took a two-week rest. We can all definitely make it!

Choo Choo!

It's in my signature and I don't know the numbers off the top of my head. I wasn't verified until mid-August and I got attacked by kidney stones at the same time so I've pretty much jussst finished secondaries. No IIs yet, one early R.

Praying for II. But this post is giving me hope! :>

I'm a TX resident ORM with a LizzyM of 67...what do you think my chances are? I'm trying to decide if I should start looking into/applying to SPMs. I was completely done (secondaries, CASPER, etc) with my state apps around july but no IIs so far.

Context: I had one bad semester but strong upward trend since. MCAT jumped from 59%-79%, strong ECs and LORs, first author pub.

Just mainly worried about that semester. Overall gpa 3.68 sgpa 3.4, but that's including a 2.8 semester. I even had a year where I took 44 credits in 2 semesters and had a 3.95 for both.

I think you're in a good spot especially with TX schools! You would be good for regular amcas too.

are you guys applying to schools where your mcat is below the 10th percentile? I have a 505 and so many schools have a 506 10th percentile.

not URM
I feel like you're fine! I applied to schools where my gpa was just below the 10th percentile
