I really like how you think.I love people when I meet someone with 15+ Interviewing at low tier programs. They improve the chances other applicants by decreasing competition since they can only match at 1 out of the 15 programs.

Haven't heard much about the Cali systems. Anyone have any insight on UC Riverside or Irvine? Their websites are kind of cryptic.

No doubt every spot has it’s strengths and weaknesses but if someone has 20 interviews they must be a very competitive well rounded candidate. Most likely to match in their top 5 at worst case scenario. That’s why I find it fascinating.
I d be careful at declaring places low tier... While there are handful of prgrams that might have issues , on the whole most places are very solid with each having own strengths and weaknesses . There are "top tier" brands with entire sub specialties of GI missing and some community programs that provide a well rounded education...
What about Northwestern? Not that I am interviewing there! lol but I though they had strong motility.
Much Love for all DO gastroenterologist and programsHi, anyone knows anything about Kent hospital in RI? And does it matter if you are MD going to to a DO fellowship? Thanks!
People actually finished at different times from 2 30 to 4. It just depends if your interviewer is available on time and the order of your interviewsDoes anyone know if the Yale interview really goes until 4:30?
Hi, sorry I am not sure I know what you meant. You don't know the program or it does not matter if you go to DO fellowship? Thanks!!!Not at all much live for all DO gastroenterologist and programs
I meant much love for the program and their staff. Good people and solid training.Hi, sorry I am not sure I know what you meant. You don't know the program or it does not matter if you go to DO fellowship? Thanks!!!

How many of the current fellows on the thread sent letters of "intent" to their number 1 and/or top programs? If so, how do you think it affected your match result?
People assume community programs don’t have good training, but this far from the truth. Also, if you know you want to do private practice, a community program may be a better choice.
What does strong responses to interviews so far mean? Also, I doubt there is any appreciable difference in 11-12 interviews.Finding difficulty booking IV number 12, as an AMG you guys think 11 is enough to basically guarantee match? Have had strong responses to interviews so far.
Are "second wave" invites even a thing, has anyone received an invite weeks after they initially went out?
If the interviewer asks a particular interest in GI, is it safe to say that I want to explore everything and keep my options open when I start fellowship?
Based on what I received, tomorrow is the final interview day.Does anyone know what are the interview dates offered by UTSW? Asking for someone wait listed by their program.
Thank you

How soon after the interview did you get the response? Was this a northeast program? When a program director writes to you post-interview about how you would be a "really good fit and addition" to their program....any thoughts?

If it’s a northeast program does it carry extra meaning or something? How soon after the interview did you get the response? Was this a northeast program?
I'm not sure. But have heard of applicants essentially being offered spots during the interview in those states. If it’s a northeast program does it carry extra meaning or something?
A friend of mine received from downstate.Did anyone get IV from Suny Downstate? I don't see it in the list.

Take it with a grain of salt. Reply with a thank you but rank based on where you want to be. This is all a game. When a program director writes to you post-interview about how you would be a "really good fit and addition" to their program....any thoughts?
