This whole AACOMAS platform is an embarrassment for osteopathic schools. The employees aren't much better.

June 8: "We received your transcript, allow a few days for the status to update online."
June 15: "It seems your transcript has been lost. Please resend."
June 19: "We have your transcript and your status will be updated by the end of the day."
June 21: Still not updated.

I mean honestly, how the **** do you lose a transcript?

The question is how have the lost SO MANY transcripts.
 
This may be a stupid question, but what do we have to do so they have our official MCAT scores?

In the application, I put my score and AACM ID. Do they do the rest or do we need to send a score report or something?
 
Guys I'm in the same boat with this transcript business, and it's definitely aggravating. They finally have my transcript after losing it, but are now taking forever just to post it to my app. All I know is I did my part and I call AACOMAS every day to check if they posted my transcript. Can't bug out over the things I can't control...although this is very frustrating.
 
Hey guys quick question here. My transcript is verified but I noticed a small mistake in the process. Under my coursework tab, I accidentally classified a engineering statics class as "statistics". They went ahead and calculated that class towards my non science gap instead of my science gpa. Granted it's not that big of a difference but do you think I should contact them and tell them the mistake? Ppreciate any input.
 
also confirming that AACOMAS still hasn't gotten my MCAT scores even though i sent it to them 5/16/2015.

my CCOM secondary checklist says they haven't received it. emailed AACOMAS and awaiting their reply
 
I just sent mine again today. This is super frustrating...why are some people getting theirs posted and others don't.

Idk if this might have caused the change but I used the in app contact button and sent them an inquiry regarding my MCAT scores situation and when I checked back 5-6 hours later after work the scores were up. Again this might have just been coincidence , but who knows -worth a shot man.

Edit: I had also resent my MCAT scores via aamc electronically since it literally takes 30 seconds yesterday.

Really I feel like they just got around to updating and someone else posted earlier that they were going to start updating official MCAT scores this coming Monday.

Sorry still a little confused on how to check if they've received MCAT scores or not...so if they have been received, we should see an extra page on the PDF version of our submitted app?

Mine were just uploaded in the last 30 minutes - no notification. I submitted over a month ago with a score sent that day.

Yes, look for a page to be inserted before the Unofficial MCAT Score page - it looks exactly the same but is "Official."
 
how do i remove a LOR from AACOMAS? I had the wrong one uploaded AFTER verification.

Azete the same thing just happened to my buddy on AMCAS except they received his transcripts but some how uploaded them for the 2015 app cycle?!?!?! He was furious too because instead of having his app in early he wont be verified for weeks.

I would...either way your app is verified so if the schools have access to it, the app will just be updated. Just double check that aacomas won't undeliver it by placing a phone call (call a few times until you get on the hold line).
 
Does anyone know if profession schools like Chiro college are counted in GPA this cycle?
 
Someone may have said this, but for anyone wondering about MCAT scores being posted, I just got off the phone with AACOMAS and apparently scores transferred from AAMC to AACOMAS in late May didn't go through due to technical issues, so I would suggest sending them again. They said they're trying to fix it so that they receive all of the ones sent then, but who knows.
 
As a follow up I just checked mine and I sent them May 5th, which is early May so who really knows what the problem is.
 
I just called them. They said that any scores sent before May 25th are having trouble being posted onto the application. If you sent them before May 25th, you should resend them.
 
I have 2 questions! Can I add letters of recs after submitting and can I add schools after submitting! Sorry I'm sure people asked the same questions before, but I can't find answers! I know letters you can add after submitting, but I don't even have any listed at the moment. It's blank, is that fine? Thank you!
 
this prob sounds like a stupid question, but here goes...: when entering prerequisite for biochem, it says "one semester; minimum credits 3; minimum grades 2", do they mean max grades is 2? Doesn't that make more sense when they ask for a one semester, 3 credit prereq class?

I resent them today (early morning) after spending an awfully long time on hold with AACOMAS ... still no sign they've been received. But my question now is this--it looks to me, from scanning this thread, like some folks are saying that their stuff has been transmitted to the actual schools to which they're applying. When would/should this happen? I've been verified since about 6/11.

I'm in the same situation. I asked AAMC to send my MCAT score early in May and my AACOMAS app was submitted late May but when I got CCOM's secondary, they said they haven't received my MCAT score yet 🙁. Please let me know if your resent went through.

But this is the second part of my question--it sounds like you are getting secondaries, but I can't even tell if my verified app has been transmitted to my schools. Where should I see this, if AACOMAS has sent it out?

Also my resent score still does not show up -- I resent it yesterday morning after finally getting through to AACOMAS on the phone.

I am pretty sure they mean a minimum grade of 2.0 meaning a C
 
Do you think it's possible that AACOMAS will ever get my transcripts?

I took a summer class this summer for a repeat after submitting my primary and just got verified today, so I didn't mark the first attempt as a repeat nor put 0 credits. Is there a way to change the first attempt after getting verified besides during the academic update periods? I emailed AACOMAS and they said they'll respond within 24 hours. It's been 5 days ...
 
Does AACOMAS have published definitions for what they mean by "temporary" or per-diem? Especially in the context of a student organization?

They did the same for me. I got a B in statics so I didn't even bother contacting them. I calculated a difference of 0.03 GPA points, so it's so insignificant I'm not going to bother with it .

I was told AACOMAS did not receive any mcat scores requested before 5/20. I called and they told me to resend it,and expect it to be posted in 10 business days.
 
how do i know if aacomas has received my mcat score or if my mcat score has been attached to my application? i am not verified yet. do i have to be verified for them to be attached?
 
I'm applying in December cause of a mcat retake and post bacc classes. I really want to attend the DO SCHOOL that's my number one so I may only just apply to that one even though that's helllla competitive ....

Hello guys, if i send letter from interfolio to AACOMAS after I submitted the app(not verified yet), will this affect my queue on verifications? Is it a good idea to upload letters between submission and verification? Thanks
 
Sorry if this has been answered, but search hasn't found me anything yet. I'm taking summer classes and will need to update my app with the first academic update period in September - can I go ahead and send my transcript to AACOMAS whenever grades are posted in early August? Or do I have to wait and have my transcript actually received by AACOMAS during the Sept 1 - Oct 15 update period? Might be a dumb question, but I've been hearing horror stories of verification times, and I just want everything up and complete as early in Sept. as possible! Thanks!
 
I am currently finished with my app and am trying to submit. But when I go to the selections page, it won't let me pay or submit. I have no idea what I'm missing. It says all my selections are complete. Does anyone know if there's something I'm missing in the app that won't let me submit? I entered in all my transcript information and both my transcripts have been sent. Do I have to wait for my transcripts to be verified or something? It's getting quite frustrating not being able to figure out what's going on.

Did you assign prerequisites to each program?
 
Did anyones transcripts take more than 10 days to post? I have 4 transcripts from different schools and only the first one went through. The rest have not been received and its been over 15 days.
 
Can you add LOR email links generated by interfolio to AACOMAS after you've been verified? Will they automatically send the additional LORs to the schools on your behalf?

I ask this because my DO LOR is in the works, but my application is ready to be submitted.

Did you follow up and confirm with schools that they sent your transcipts? I too have 4 transcripts from different schools and yesterday had to resolve an issue with one of the schools whom I thought had sent it out but failed to due to a system error. Two out of the 4 have been received and uploaded by AACOMAS.
