I applied to many schools being OOS from the get-go without any contract seats, and still have quite a few left to hear from. I have an equine focus so that is influential on my choice but I am so tremendously lucky to have had these three acceptances so far and have a lot of research and thinking to do for each of them! This whole process I've gone through virtually on my own - no other pre-vets in my year at my undergrad, and very little guidance all along. same boat as you. No definite or formal support from school except " you know its hard to get into vet school right?????" I am sure it was an overwhelming arduous process finding everything by yourself. There were many moments I was discouraged and this forum helped me in leaps and bounds. Now, I am giving feedback to my school so they can have some information about vet school. Kudos fellow Jerseyan....sans contract..sans school....no worries!:laugh:

Ahhh that would explain the later call... He did say they were quite swamped... I'd have taken the call at midnight if it suited them!
