In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

My prediction is half way in between. I think it will be around the 16th.

Um when you login on the MCAT site does it give you just your old score or does it also include that it shows you also took the april 2006 MCAT, mine just shows my old score, could it be i logged in with a different name for the most recent one???Thanks for any input.

I only took it once (April 06), but it doesn't seem to show any message about me taking it.

Yeah, me too...I figure that the TPR date is the day for me to start becoming neurotic that the MCAT scores will be posted soon...

For real here, since half the people on here think that they are the next Dane Cook or Chris Rock, I still don't have a damn clue as to whether or not April 06 MCAT scores will be posted online anywhere before they are mailed. The sarcasm and stress seem to be blending together in this thread to form some sort of strescasm, or something.

Help me out here. What website do I go to, what do I type in, what drugs do I need to buy from them, etc....

A little advice?

Not to worry DVN, I, too am hitting up something like 32 or 33. I just sold the Ducati in my avatar to finance the whole process. Scary how much of this process hinges on my MCAT score. I sure hope TPR is correct about their release date. Cheers.

😱 I could never part with a Ducati if I was ever so lucky. Hopefully you get a 42 so you can just buy back your bike 😉

This will be updated hopefully a week or two before scores are released.

I think we are at the 15 and 30 mark? I have been pretty busy for a while so I lost count hehe.

Well, it's May 22, so we have 9 days left till the end of May and then 6 more, which means 16 for TPR, 30 for AAMC.

I am getting very anxious for the scores to come out. At times I think that I did well and the scores will be higher than august mcat, but at times I keep on thinking that my score may have went down.

Btw, what is "Guju"? 😀

It's short for Gujarati. The Gujarati are a group of Indian people from west coast of India.

Back in the day ('02), I decided to sit for the MCAT just to see. 😡

Well, what I get to see now that I'm serious about applying is:
VR:8, PS:8, BS:11, W:O 😱

Anyone else have old MCAT scores tripping them out?

After taking Kaplan I am hoping to improve to a 30-33...I was doing OK on AAMC and Kaplan tests...we shall see you guys...

bleh

Now that I'm seriously getting into my app and trying to pick schools to apply to, I'm stressing even more about these stupid results... Now I'm checking at least every day. Does anybody know when they typically update the message on THx? When they do, will they announce a specific date when the scores will be released or will it be a "coming soon to a computer near you" kinda thing?

Am I the only one here who could make a case for myself scoring anywhere from a 22 to a 38 on the April MCAT?

If my score turns out to be a 24, I am going to flip out.
If my score turns out to be a 36, I am going to flip out.

I expect the anxiety diarrhea to begin any day now.

Am I the only person who debates the issue with my subconscious?

SC: "if I get a score of X, I'll be happy"
Me: "No! No expectations! I'm sure to be disappointed"
SC: "well, surely I got at least an X-5..."
Me: "No! We can't count on that!"
SC: "How about we're happy if we get at least an X-2?"
Me: "Stop thinking about it! Shut up!"
SC: "can't make me"

Seriously, this thread is great. If I said "I want my scores" out loud 1/100th as often as I think it, my fiance would have been driven to drink by now. But I can listen to you guys vent, and occasionally vent myself, and feel better.

I agree, this is a great thread to alleviate some of the MCAT tensions we all have. Its already May 22---but it still feels like it will months till scores come out....

No, don't look at it that way. It's been a month since we took the thing! 😀😀 👍

I predict you'll get scores in 3 weeks, but anywhere from 2-4 weeks left now.

Since today is about halfway through our waiting period, can we christen it "hump day"?

Based on practice I will faint 3-29 and 36-anything above
however everyday my confidence chips a little as the stresss gets to me and I start thinking, maube I got a 10. SIlly, I know but 😱 the wait is killing me. must just keep writing those AMCAS essays to keep myself busy

Agreed. For some reason, I would be disappointed with a 29, but happy with a 30. I doubt the point difference would matter much in the end, though.

IT seems like normally 1 point on the MCAT is not that big of a deal, but for that 29-30 range its really rough. That 30 is huge. The only reason I think Id be ok with a 29 is because Rush, Loyola, and UIC have a 30 average and RFU a 29ish average.

Damm this wait, I cant stand it.

I just wish they would give weekly or bi-weekly updates on the status of the scores; that would be enough to keep a lot of sane 🙂

Any of you guys started studying for August one or thinking about that seriously? 😕
I am not focusing well enough in anything at all after MCAT... wondering whether it's just me having psychological problems, attention deficit syndrome or watever bad....
Am i alone who's suffering that? +pity+

There's no way I could start studying for August before I see my scores... In fact, I'm moving in 3 weeks (right around release date probably), and I've already packed my review books, so I can't even think about trying to study...

And why should it take so long to get our scores?? I was just reading another thread explaining about scaling the scores, writing sample grading, time for complaints and bureacracy...

But I would be very happy if they just gave me a raw score within a week of taking the test. I know it would be hard to estimate a scaled score from that, but I'd at least know if I needed to be in panic mode studying for August...

I thought that I was going to start studying again for August right after I took the April 06 test because I feel like I bombed it.
After I started to get over the withdrawal of not having anymore MCAT-related stuff to do, I started a summer class "Biology of Women" and it has been enough to keep my MCAT studying urges away!
Now it almost makes me sick to think about having to study for this test again! I'm not going to start studying until I see a crappy score sometime between June 7 and June 22.

Right now my attitude is "Show me the darn scores!"

When it comes time, I'm sure attitude will be: "I can't look!" :scared:

hopefully none of us will have to think about taking it again. 😀

I'm mentally ready to take it again. Not that I've started studying, because I plan to take the first CBT in case my April scores suck 🙂 But if that's the case, I will be more motivated than ever to get a good score.

Oh the waiting for scores is agony, but Ive just gotta keep telling myself that whatever happens, it will be okay. If I get a low score, I can take it again, right? A low score doesn't automatically mean I am a *******, right? I did real well on the SAT in the early ninties, doesn't that count for anything?

Anyone have any info on a possible score release? I've heard anywhere from June 7th to the 22nd. Anyone?... Anyone?... Bueller?... Bueller?...

There is currently a 24 page debate raging over that very question lol. Really, none of us have really have much idea other than that they should be out at the latest by the 22nd (apparently the princeton review has been telling people that scores will be released june 7th, thats where that rumor has come from). If it makes you feel any better, my roomate's girlfriend's brother's friend heard that the scores came out three weeks ago 😀

Edit-The last line of this post was a joke, keeping with the Ferris Bueller theme. Just thought I should clear that up before somebody went into cardiac arrest.

I hear you. All I used to do was study. Now all I do is research and play sports and drink beer.

i just received an email from the mcat bc there is some problem with my username anyways they said that i should be able "to access your scores approximately 60 days after your initial testing date. The April test scores will be released approximately the second week in June."

second week in june? the 7th of june is in the second week. yay for those who keep dreaming and refuse to settle for 60 days. optimism is what gets me thru running and its what i hope will get me through this waiting period.

So, I've got a question for the SND'ers out there: Who has had sufficient self control NOT to check for their MCAT scores yet? I'm in school until they come out so the temptation is somewhat mitigated by my midterms etc... but the temptation is still there. So, who hasn't check yet?
(for the terminally curious, I have looked, but only once)

I suspect that all of the people who post on this thread regularly have checked at least once. 😉

I don't check daily - maybe once or twice a week when I'm bored.
