***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Grrr....I really didn't want to do this but I need some re-assurance. The following are my AAMC practice test scores. My highest Kaplan score was a 30.
AAMC 4R: 29
AAMC 5R: 35
AAMC 6R: 31
AAMC 7R: 32
So, chances are I broke a 30, right? How do most people's practice test scores compare to the real thing? Sorry-I know posts like this one are annoying but I wish someone would just tell me everything will be okay +pity+ Where's my mommy when I need her? :laugh: :laugh:

You're screwed. My advise to you is to start drinking heavily.

I'd listen to him he's pre-med.

I thought he was pre-law?

What's the Difference?

Oh crap. Just registered with AMCAS. Checked MCAT Thx system for my April 2006 MCAT score, even though I knew it wouldn't be there.

Collective middle finger to all of you for corrupting me. :laugh: I'll probably check every day from now until the scores come out. Thanks alot.

😱 Like previous posters said---June 7th is in the second week. That means we could potentially only be 14 days away.....

No i just asked them about my username that was their response. Because i was having issues logging in and on AMCAS as well. They said 2nd week of june, i hope not though i need more mental preperation time......

I hope it would come out around 3rd week so i have more preparation... I want to finish AMCAS thing b4 the score came out so i won't be distracted. I am definitely not prepared yet to deal my score.
My score was never stable... it ranges from 35 to 27. So, i dunno what to say...? I only hope around 30 coz i've less than 5 yrs of proper english education. 😳

Well I try to pass the time accordingly. 😀 Got nothing else better to do but wait for scores. As long as I get what I need this time and I don't have to take it again I'm golden!

Oh, MCAT! Sigh.

I have so many questions that I must know for my MCAT.
Did my VR score hold, like it had on the practice tests?
Was my BS good (not just my usual BS, that is!)?
Was PS okay--a 9 or better??!

AKKKKKKKKKK!

I want to know, and then I DONT want to know. And then I do.

Ditto. I have tried to picture every possible reaction to seeing my score on the screen, but I know in the end, it will probably be nothing like what I envisioned in my mind. I still have qualms about the potential June 7th release date. Oh well, whatever 🙂.

Waterlivergirl's message was encouraging for a June 7th release... But I emailed them and didn't get a reply about when scores would be released. In fact they said that they wouldn't change the message on the THx screen at all. Just at some point the scores will magically appear. Don't know why they'd do it differently than other years, and who knows maybe they were just messing with me.

That is a punk move on their part if they dont even give an update on the status. We have been waiting now for over a month (not so patiently) we deserve some sort of explanation of what the deal is.

Hey folks,

What if the scores pop up on THx on June 6th? 06-06-06?

6 6 6?

Hell, it'd be creepier if my scores show up as 6 6 6 for the different sections. And not because there's three 6's, but because I only managed to score an 18!! 👎

I need a beer. :laugh:

We all say this is quite a "crap shoot," but I don't really know how to play craps. So I'm going to say it's a "rock paper scissors shoot."



Seriously, my girlfriend is taking her USMLE step 1 on June 16th. At least I think it's June 16th but I'd better find out! Anyway, I think it's terribly ironic that we will be getting our scores around the same time a lot of folks are taking their USMLE exams.

What would be cool would be some sort of phone/IM tree so everybody knows right when they come out. I'd lose my cool if I were constantly checking, but I don't want to be late.

ooooohhhhh scores on 6-6-6....who cares. Hopefully they do release them on that day, it'd be sooner than waiting the 60 days.

Good thing there isn't a Friday the 13th coming up. If they released them on that day, that'd be pretty scary too. lol

Actually you are right, the sooner the better--if they are released on 6-6-6, we will atleast find out who the AAMC really works for.... :meanie:

On June 15th last year, I was in the library the whole time until the end of the day when my friend took me to dinner at a Thai place, at which point by the time I got back to the med library they were up.

I just saw an extended preview of The Omen before X-Men 3 tonight...that kid freaks the hell out of me. If scores do come out that night, I will have nightmares regardless...of that lil devil or the score.....
