***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

I don't think the advisors are any more privileged to the release date than any of us here who called the AAMC office. We've gotten considerable confirmation that the 12th/13th will most likely be the online release date, and this is in accord with tradition. I will be surprised if we don't get our scores on these dates.

Edit: Ahhhh crap!

from the aamc website:

"April 2006 MCAT scores will be available Tuesday, June 20."

WTF... they better mean June 20th is the snail mail date. I can't wait that long for my online scores! 😡

Wait, August scores were released on October 13th. Does anyone remember what's the exact date of the August 2005 test?

i think the 20th is for scores in the mailbox. i don't think it's for scores online. i still think 12/13 is when we'll get scores online. but these are just my thoughts. 🙂

who knows where thoughts come from? they just appear!

So the med advisor was wrong! Last administration the results came back 53 days after the test, and not freakin' 60!

Well if anyone on here decided to do any AAMC-bombarding to find out if 20th is online or snail mail, be sure and post the results here!

Can anyone around from previous tests tell us if the update posted on their site was for the online release or snail mail release? For some reason, I'm just assuming that they would put the online release date... But I hope I'm wrong!

I'm betting that June 20th is the mail delivery date. If June 20th was the THx date, then the mail date wouldn't be until after the 22nd- taking them over their 60 day limit. Of course, they can go over it. And of course, I am trying to come up with any argument for why I should see my scores sooner.
I feel like a crack addict justifying taking a smoke. "Maybe I'll just get a little high..."

I just spoke with mcat program office in Iowa. Scores will be online on the 12th or 13th (monday or tuesday), they will also be sending out a mailing that week, after they are posted online, so receive in mail by ~20th
