In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Dont remember that questions at all..... diffierent forms have diff questions tho, right?

Yep, I had form BR, and it was on there and I think possibly other forms as well, but it's entirely possible that you never had that question (lucky bastard... haha)

When I logged on to SDN, the first thread name I saw was "retaking the MCAT with...". So, I went on the MCAT site to see if the scores were out. I was so nervous, my hands were shaking and I could fell my heart beat. to my surprise, the scores weren't there.
i did see some proof that the AAMC does update that site, though...there is a new link/description on the front page about the date that registration for the August computerized test will be open.

Yeah, and it's June 14th! Maybe it's an ominous sign...

June 14th is Flag Day in the US. It's also (and frankly, more importantly) my best friend's birthday.

I vote that it is a Patriotic Gesture.

When they will update “The Percentage and Scaled Score Tables for the 2005 administrations are available” for 2006 --- soon will be our score!!!!

June 14th is also the day I picked in the pool for MCAT score release. I saw somewhere that AMAS has staff meetings on Thursday afternoons, which would coincide nicely with the release of scores if they needed to go over protocol and procedures and stuff just prior. Just speculating here.

June 14th is a Wednesday...

Maybe that means that they'll at least post an update today or tomorrow about when scores will be out... At this point, I'll take any kind of disclosure from them...

They will update before they leave office-like last year

The AMCAS staff meetings are from 3:00 - 5:00 pm ET. Don't know if the AMCAS people are the same one's that handle MCAT uploading though, or if there is another group specifically for MCAT/THx (and whether or not they have the same meeting time?)

By 8:00pm eh? Wow. Or they could just use the time today to plan out all the little teaser messages to be posted. 😀

So depressing! I have not called but I confess: I emailed the MCAT people. THis is what they wrote back:

Thank You for contacting the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) program.

The April 2006 MCAT scores have yet to be posted. They will be available around the middle of June. The 60 day period will put you at the week of the 19th through the 23rd. The exact date will be posted on the web soon.

AAMC and the MCAT Program Office will use all available and reasonable means to mail scores by first-class mail to examinees approximately 60 days after each test date. Scores will be available in the Online Testing History system at that time.

Please let us know if you need any additional assistance.

Ok....Im going to throw my logic out there.

Last year, they updated on a Thursday (June 9th) to let everyone know that scores would be released the following Thursday (June 16th). So, if they update tonight, the scores will be released the 15th.🙂 If not, I'll assume the 22nd as release date 🙁

Your link is broke, and what source did this come from?

Hi,

I am new here so I guess I wanted to say that I am freaking out as much...

I complained 2x abt the aci-base neutralization question and another one but they never ever replied to me... They had better not penalize me on those questions... In any case, I took the CBT version of the MCAT and it was an absolute disaster.

Any comments on where getting 4 incorrect answers for in PS would put me? 11 or 12? or 10?

Thanks.

It would put you rather solidly in the "counting your chickens before they hatch" corner. 🙂

Another ominous sign: As an official freak, besides the compulsive checking of the thx system, I also checked the scoring reports on this page:
http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/examineedata/pubs.htm
For some reason when you click on any report right now, it shows nothing. Maybe they're uploading the reports for the April 06 exams, which should be available under the following link:
http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/examineedata/table0406.pdf

The 2005 and earlier data comes up for me. I don't see a blank screen.

Depending on the curve, it can even drop you below 6 or 5...

I am not so quick to believe this person, as I doubt the MCAT office would send a defunct link to the THx page.

You're reading my mind coco...

Then again, they did keep sending replies to my emails to my brother-in-law who has a similar email address instead of to me (thankfully it was him and not a stranger though!)... Maybe I'm giving them too much credit!

Well, it takes some creative imagination to make up an email like that... I think it's real 🙂

4 incorrect answers would put you at 14/13. Trust me, this is something I know. The last guy I met who got a 42 missed 6 questions on PS, 2 on verbal, none on bio, and pulled a 42. Dont sweat it. Me on the other hand, I missed a whole passage on bio, so I have reason to be worried.

How does this guy know what he missed?
