***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

I think it might have to do with the problems the SAT encountered by giving people false scores...maybe they're taking extra precautions to avoid that situation again.

27...pittsburgh. lots of NJ people on here. my husband is from Princeton NJ and goes on about the glory of Bruce Springsteen all the time (but he went to carnegie mellon, thus our fateful meeting in the Burgh)

is anyone else getting a tattoo if they get into med school? I'm getting one of the medical symbol, the snake around the pestle type thing. my sister told me the name of it, something involving "dus". I haven't gotten a tattoo in almost ten years so I am psyched.

I'm really considering this. I really want a ichthus on my foot with the greek words of part of Matthew 25. (I think I may have talked about this already)

For the record I'm 24/Texas (way way buttcrack south of texas but still texas) Somehow I'm pretty sure most of ya'll knew that though.

You can call the ChymeChancellor and he will tell you your score. However, it will only be a prediction and there will be no guarantees as to its accuracy!

I am very superstitious....I'm afraid if I move my study books from the place I left them when I left the morning of the MCAT I will jinx my score

I think it might have to do with the problems the SAT encountered by giving people false scores...maybe they're taking extra precautions to avoid that situation again.

The thing with that though is the SAT tests like over a million people each time the test is given and the test is given like 6/7 times a year (or something like that). I'm not a fan of standarized testing but at this scale mistakes in grading are bound to be made at some point. The MCAT does not really have that excuse. Even if it is graded by the ACT people are whatever.

so i dreamed about a 6. it was one of those dreams where you suspect that you're dreaming...but then somehow i kept finding out that i wasn't. i was flabbergasted. my pre-med advisor was even there. he was telling me that i didn't study enough and that i'd better get my ass rolling to take it again. i was like, NO i need a regrade. i felt okay taking it. this is impossible!

there's no going back to sleep...ever.

Good idea. Can you take a screen shot by right clicking and clicking "save as" or do you need a special program?

With the screen you want a picture of open, press the print screen button. That will essentially copy the screen. You then go to where you would like to paste it and press ctrl & V. Voila! Screen Shot! 🙂

You do realize that a screenshot of your MCAT scores will include your full name, social security #, birthdate...lots of info to steal your identity! 😱

I'd recommend using a paint program to edit it before posting, like the Paint program that comes with Windows(Start/Programs/Accessories). To capture the screen, hit the ALT and PRINTSCN (Print Screen) keys. This will put the screen into the clipboard. Open Microsoft Paint, paste the image, blank out the personal info and edit as you like(you can select a smaller area, copy, and paste the smaller bit into a new image if you like), then save the image as a JPG.

OLN did a decent job with the coverage, but unfortunately almost no one gets the channel. The games have been great, especially game 5, it's too bad more people aren't watching, they're missing some great action. I'll be watching game 7 on Monday night (luckily it's back on NBC) - perfect distraction from all this MCAT score worrying!

i managed to sleep 12 hours last night (not continuously since i had 2 babies in bed with me). this means I will be lucky if ican get myslef to go to sleep by 5am tonight... hate this stupid MCAT. hope I get a 10 and just give up and become a cocktail waitress....that'd show 'em....

Glad to know I'm not the only person with two babies in bed with me (three if you count my husband). A continuous stretch of sleep? What's that???

i had a dream this morning, some guy was screaming SCORES ARE OUT SCORES ARE OUT on the SDN boards, and turns out it wasn't, and i was like QofQ ban his ass. or seomthing like that, so i woke up thinking it was an omen of things to come, but nothing so far.

on a different note, how many of you guys will still stick around in the forum months from now? Or will you move onto the allopathic forum after getting fantastic scores lol
