***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

It's almost Sunday already. Hey, don't forget that today is Father's Day, MCATers. I got my dad a great baseball cap with brains all over it, and under the visor it says, "Think!" The cool thing about my dad is that not only will he think that's funny, but he'd actually wear something like that in public. 👍

I got my father a coupe of things that we (the family) can do together, yankees tickets, six flags tix, and a boat rental coupon so we could all go fishing together (we usually do it anually) heres to fathers

So it is now almost midnight (EST) on the 17th. Just a few more days. Can we all agree to post our true scores in the official score release thread once we see them? Its been an intense experience that we have shared together and it would be neat to share in eachother's joy or console eachother if we do poorly. (misery loves comfort). Few others will be able to understand the significance and emotional toll either way unless they have gone through it themselves.

I've already posted a screenshot of my scores from 12 and 14 years ago...I'll update it with the new scores on the 20th 🙂

not to burden anyone with nonsensical concerns, but I wonder what percentage of those who have their mcat regraded actually have a change in their score???

Does anyone wonder whether the AAMC site will g down due to the number of people going to access it and refresh it during approximately the same timeframe?
I would imagine that it would rival a DoS (Denial Of Service) attack.

Not that I know of. I've switched exclusively to Firefox for everything I view on the web. I do, however use a plugin for Firefox that allows you to use IE as a rendering engine inside of a firefox tab (I love tabbed browsing!!!) for those sites that must use IE. If you haven't tried Firefox, do it. There are so many useful plugins, it'll make your head spin. It's the best web browser out there! 😀

is anyone else getting a tattoo if they get into med school? I'm getting one of the medical symbol, the snake around the pestle type thing. my sister told me the name of it, something involving "dus". I haven't gotten a tattoo in almost ten years so I am psyched.

i managed to sleep 12 hours last night (not continuously since i had 2 babies in bed with me). this means I will be lucky if ican get myslef to go to sleep by 5am tonight... hate this stupid MCAT. hope I get a 10 and just give up and become a cocktail waitress....that'd show 'em....

i made my dad rice crispy treats; they're his favorite. he does wear the CORONER hat my sister got him though. not quite as gutsy, but along the same morbid lines....

I wonder if the AAMC is going to hold true to their stand on waiting 60 days, and release late night on Tuesday, or be kind and release tomorrow night? 😕

they try to profit every other way

Okay people...wake up! We aren't at 4000 post yet, and we all need to get motivated and get it done! After the score release, we can move on towards greater things like finishing our AMCAS applications, submitting, secondaries, getting interviews, and going to medical school! 😀

You can call the ChymeChancellor and he will tell you your score. However, it will only be a prediction and there will be no guarantees as to its accuracy!
