***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

I figure the scores are released from Iowa so it should be central time right? They have already proved to be punks, so I wouldn't be surprised if they came eaaaaaaaaaaaarly morning on the 21st. They are just cruel.

You would think they would have some compassion, and update the THx message with things like...

"Awesome job this year guys/gals. We are working hard to verify your scores and make them as accurate as possible. Don't sweat it, come back on Monday afternoon for an update on the time we will release scores."

...or...

"Scores won't be posted until the earliest Monday evening, check back for an updated message on Monday morning."

No, we get outdated messages like "April 2005 MCAT scores are now available." or "The August scores have been posted. If you took the exam and do not see your scores below, please contact us using the 'Report a problem' link below.". 😡

They would just say that they were making sure that all the scores were accurate. I think SDN should form a rally in front of the MCAT office in Iowa. IMO, SDN needs to become a powerful lobbyist🙂

I completely agree 😡 With the amount if IT personal that they must have, how hard is it for a weekly or monthly update. We aren't asking for much, just a damn sentence 😡

I started on my personal statement months ago, but I also suffer from pre-med perfectionism. I keep scrutinizing the stupid thing, even though it probably is just fine. 🙄
Between summer classes and the stress of impending MCAT scores, I haven't had time to finish my PS. I think I will wait until I see my scores......

i know the ideal answer is none of the abvoe but since my overanxious mcat mind is working overtime i thought i'd pose a question: would you rather have a 30Q mcat(10PS 10BS 10V) or a 35M(15PS 15V 5BS). hahhahi think i'd go with the 30Q so i wouldn't even consider retaking

You don't want to have any score less than a 9 (or at the very least an 8) on any section of the MCAT.

I'd take the 35M, but make sure that I explained that I was a bit exhausted from my lunch break, which included saving those orphans from the burning building, and just haven't had time to retake the test since my new HIV vaccine is entering phase II trials and I'm almost done with that pesky world peace thing. 😀

Not that you'll be able to get anything accomplished at work because you will either be (a) too exhausted from manually refreshing THx all night or (b) be spending all your time at the office/lab/clinic manually refreshing THx.
