In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

just think neutrally/positively. Neutral=zen state. hehe Positive=30-something mcater state. Everything will turn out fine. I did not buy anything yet either. We'll just make a run for it at 12am mcat time.  That would be Kroger for me or.....the pub!

Kroger in TX? I don't know what I would do without my Kroger card

Ha, I like how we were all shy, waiting for someone else to start the frenzy.

Sigh, fine, I confess 1590. And this engineer bombed the math section, not the verbal. Come on, there has to be a 1600 lurking out there somewhere.... Don't be shy.....
Yeah I'd have to say you officially fail at life for that one. Thank goodness you're going into medicine and not trying this whole engineering thing for the rest of your life. 😛

Less than 100 posts and less than 48 hours to go! 😀

Holy shiit. I leave for a day and the post count goes up by 5,000.

These scores better come out soon because I can't take much more of this SDN Candlelight Vigil.

1370 in 1997-does this mean i'll do well on the MCAT?
1390 in 1995. Didn't study. Forgot my ticket and had to take the subway home to get it. That sucked.

You know, they actually asked me about it for my pre-professional health committee letter application last month! I couldn't remember the breakdown. I guessed it was 680 V 710 M.

oh, is that what my husband is watching?

speaking of spouses, sometimes I feel SO out of place on SDN. it seems like everyone has like kids or wives or husbands...any single commitment-fearing premeds here?

1590? "Bombed the math section"?

If getting a 790 on math was "bombing" I must have done hiroshima x 1000 on my SAT math

Yeah, what's the deal with these Pre-Health committees asking my SAT score from 5-6 years ago? They gave me some happy horseshiit story that SAT score correlates well with MCAT score.

I hope they're right. Never studied for SATs (because you can't), and got around 1500.

For all panicking about MCAT scores...
I've been freaking out for days but just picked up the book "Mountains Beyond Mountains" by Tracy Kidder. It's an amazing story of a doctor in Haiti and his views on medicine and poverty. Entirely absorbing if you are looking for a way to get through the next 48 hours. Good luck to all!!

speaking of mcat study material, I do crazy things like save all my notes and books until I receive a grade at the end of the semester. I feel as though dumping course notes into the trash prematurely might jinx the grade.
MCAT books, at this point, are aligned on a shelf...partially covered with a mirror.

I do that too. At the end of every semester I put all my books/notes into folders with the course name on it and then store them in a drawer. But until I get a grade for a class I do not collect all the notes and put them into a folder. I leave them scattered around exactly as they were before I left tot ake the final. I think it's part of a whole mental closure thing. it's like, I'm not done with the class until I get the grade. My MCAT books are sitting in their box next to my bed. Let's hope I never have to look into it again.

SAT was not that bad, especially the math because you COULD learn that easily. verbal wasn't that hard (i got a 780), but it seems to me the MCAT verbal is much harder...maybe because i stopped reading books the minute i had to for class
