***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Haha, yeah I think that's good advice... I'm waiting for those damn scores before submitting anyway. It's all written. I'm just hoping that when I reread it, I'm still happy with it, and that it's not too long when I paste it into the actual form. Here's hoping because I don't think I have the mental fortitude to do any rewriting at this point.

I'm taking biochem during summer I (5 weeks). Call me wierd but I like biochem. Then again I also liked organic. We're about done with the basics and will start pathways later next week.

The thing I was worried about was that I'm typically pretty bad at memorizing stuff but great and getting concepts down. The 20 AA weren't as bad as I had thought. It can be done if you keep up with the class.

Depends on what else you're doing... I'm TAing 2x recitation and 2x lab sections of freshman physics, shadowing 2 days a week, volunteering 1 day a week, filling out med school apps, and planning a wedding. So I'm a little stressed. 😱

If you can devote your attn to it, I'd say summer is a GREAT way to get biochem knocked out. The 20aa really aren't as bad as I'd feared, and I really have an aversion to memorization. Am I the only person who didn't notice until the very last minute that biochem was REQUIRED for UTHSCSA?

thank you too! You are very busy indeed. best wishes with the wedding. I will be busy as well during the course.... but it keeps you focused. Yes, my friend was hounding me about UTSA's biochem. requirement. I could take it in the fall before I graduate, but that would make the schedule too full with work, etc etc.

You do realize that a screenshot of your MCAT scores will include your full name, social security #, birthdate...lots of info to steal your identity! 😱

I'd recommend using a paint program to edit it before posting, like the Paint program that comes with Windows(Start/Programs/Accessories). To capture the screen, hit the ALT and PRINTSCN (Print Screen) keys. This will put the screen into the clipboard. Open Microsoft Paint, paste the image, blank out the personal info and edit as you like(you can select a smaller area, copy, and paste the smaller bit into a new image if you like), then save the image as a JPG.

I could be mistaken, but I think CST as Iowa is where the grading is done.

I would seriously go clean your house. It's odd - cleaning relaxes me.
