In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

I vaguely remember getting an 1170 on my SAT, which wasn't good back in 1989 (but enough to get into college). But, isn't the SAT scale different nowadays? I sorta remember the max score you could get was a 1400 back then. 😕

just recently they changed it...anyone in this forum should have taken the older version

that's ridiculous...i know they have that policy for people who have taken the test 3 times already, but both your first and second tests are not valid anymore, so they should cancel!

I learned that I'll have to get special permission from the AAMC to ever take the MCAT again.

Here's to hoping you're done with standardized exams for quite some time. Well, at least until USMLE hits that is.

It's really no big deal. I'll just need to get my premed advisor to write a letter to them saying that I'm really trying to get into medical school, not aim for the Guinness Book of World Records for taking the MCAT, er I mean being a masochist!

I can't decide whether AAMC not offering the "pay more, learn your score quicker" is them being kind or cruel to us soon to be impoverished med students.

hahaha if i'm up all night before the scores are released, i may not make it past the first round! i remember after the MCAT, I was so exhausted that I couldn't last past midnight (and it was my boyfriend's 21st birthday--I'm such a bad girlfriend haha)

Back when I used to have a system in my car I did that at the lakes (tornado siren).... My little bro was out on fishing and could here it in the middle of the lake. God, i miss those speakers.

Heh. I can't remember what my SAT score was. Jeez that was a LONG time ago you guys!

I don't think there is a whole lot of correlation there anyway since the MCAT has chem, bio, physics, etc on it and the SAT was reading comprehension and math. Freaking geometry and trig questions!! LOL!

Who else is looking over their AMCAS for the eight-hundredth time? Oh, and I have been editing essays, and they range from:

The numbers are the actual essays I have seen, that I can specifically remember. Funny, it is easier to remember the really good and the really bad. If any of you have an essay that needs an opinion, I have read about 10. And written one.

just think neutrally/positively. Neutral=zen state. hehe Positive=30-something mcater state. Everything will turn out fine. I did not buy anything yet either. We'll just make a run for it at 12am mcat time. That would be Kroger for me or.....the pub!

speaking of mcat study material, I do crazy things like save all my notes and books until I receive a grade at the end of the semester. I feel as though dumping course notes into the trash prematurely might jinx the grade.
MCAT books, at this point, are aligned on a shelf...partially covered with a mirror.
