So I have seen posts on the 20th and the 16th but nothing for the 14th. I can't wait to get this over with, counting when my kaplan course started I will have been MCATting (not a word) since October and I can't take it anymore. Most frusturating part is that I didn't have that much time to restudy, but at least I got a seat. Anyway, who's ready to take it, I know facts cold but anytime I think about the test my left arm goes numb and my face droops a little. If only I didn't get that 7 in verbal on June 15th+pity+ (I apologize for abusing smiley faces in my posts there just so cool)

so what is the consensus on aug 6th scores....are they out yet?

I really want to see people on other exam dates do good...itll make feel a little better🙂

They come out Wednesday.

It was comforting to see the July 24th people do well... but after the initial good news several people later posted with disappointing scores. So scary.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see what happens on Wednesday. Just try to remember that the same thing happens during every score release: the people who are ecstatic about their scores post like crazy for the first day or two. Then the people who are disappointed in their scores come out from hiding and start figuring out what they're going to do next. Don't let the initial excitement or the delayed disappointment affect you too much. What's done is done.

It's crazy to think that, after them, we're next. It's just so hard for me to fathom that, a year and a half ago, when I first decided to apply to medical school and bought a Barron's MCAT book, I thought to myself, "there is NO way in hell I'm going to make it through this test." Well, here we are, about to get our score back in a little over 12 days.

Last night I had a dream that I received a 24 on my MCAT. It was weird the way they were telling people their scores, I was in a big hall way with stairs and someone would come down and tell me to go upstairs to look at my score. I should have realized it was a fake, my sister got a 16 on her MCAT in the dream, and she had never taken the exam in real life, LOL. Then I woke up in the dream and realized it was a dream. LOL WOW!!!

Right when I got up this morning I started praying please don't let that be my score PLEASE GOD, PLEASEEE. IM BEGGING YA, IM BEGGING YA.

As the days get closer I seriously don't know what kind of score to expect.
I know I had guessed a lot in PS section, so I'm hoping for at least a 9. As for VR and BS I'm praying I pull at least 10's.

I think my score range can be between 24 - 36. LOL the suspense is killing me.

I hate dentists I am an ANTI-DENTI... 😀

BTW does anyone know how are DATs compared to the MCAT. I have a friend who took DATs twice I think and did horrible both times. I'm thinking to either go the LSAT or DAT route if I do bad on the MCAT 😕

I'm in the same boat, although my expected range is slightly smaller. I feel I could get as low as a 26 or as high as a 34. I'm hoping for 11/13/10, but that's the highest I think I could possibly get. I may end up getting 8/10/8, which would not be good. At this point I'd be fine with a 9 in each science and a 10 in verbal.

I felt a lot better about the verbal than either science. I'm expecting to be happy with VR and writing, but disappointed on PS and BS. I'll put my range guess at 25-32 (please please please 30-32 please please).

Um not to be crass but that statement seems to lack substance. First off if you "hate" dentistry then why would you attempt to become one. Secondly if you want to become an MD, then you will find a way. If you do poorly on the MCAT your first time, then try it again and again until you do well... Lastly I believe that all of those standardized tests are somewhat difficult, although from what I have heard around SDN, MCAT is the most difficult of the bunch.


Now for my score range: 27 - 37

I honestly believe the VR will either make or break my score. If I can make a 10 on the verbal somehow, I think I can make mid 30s if not probably low thirties or high 20's. Although I have been having dreams about getting 41, and have been praying for one so hard. LOl (keep dreaming). Anyway, I can't predict in any way how I have done, it's all up in the air.

So when you log in to the MCAT THx page (which I believe is where new scores are posted, right?) it says that scores have been released for the July 13th test date. Anyone know what happened to the July 24th test scores? The AAMC MCAT page shows a release date of August 23rd.

Also, I see three separate tests scheduled to be released on the 12th (two from August 9th and us). Bets on how delayed our release will be? 🙄

Yes you are right, I didn't realize it was contradictory.

Was it just me or do the AAMC PS sections seem ridiculously easy for some reason. I was just dumbfounded on the actual test day with the difficulty of the PS section. I think I guessed on atleast 30% of the questions, I'm glad I was prepared a little with some Kaplan PS sections.

The reason THx says the scores from July 13th are posted is because their scores were delayed. I think they will post such an announcement for delayed scores, and since July 24th scores were released according to schedule, there was no need for a similar notice.

Also, there better not be any delays with our scores. I think they would be pretty prompt about releasing them, especially since many applicants are relying on these scores to be complete at schools.

Doubtful that we will get these on time now, considering their's were pushed back and that will likely put ours back, especially because we have three testing times coming out next wednesday. I mean they could submit the aug 9th scores but might push back 14th, sucks cuz I took the 14th. I do however hope they prove me wrong.

anyone know what that disaccharide was in the BS?
are we suppose to know the common disaccharides or for that matter the common monosaccharides?

From the looks of it we should expect the test scores no sooner than Sept 14th. This weekends gonna be going pretty quick for me, gonna take a trip to vegas and lose some money. But I have a bad feeling they are gonna slap us in the face with a 2 day delay.... Damn AAMC.👎

I'm getting worried after looking at some August 6 scores. I guess their curve was pretty harsh. Hope ours is much better 🙁.

My dream score will be (11, 11, 11) R 😀 :hardy:

I will be happy with (9,10,9) P 🙂

I will go into deep depression if I get (8,8,8) J 😕

so....come sept 12th...we just go the AAMCAS website and search at this particular web address?
is the score immediately sent in to our AAMCAS and/or AACOMAS applications? Or do we have to request them to be sent there? More specifically--I see that if you "release" scores, they go immediately to AAMCAS, but what is the manner in which we relay our scores to AACOMAS?

now I sort of just want to get this over with...so I can move on with my life. If I did good, then I can relax and be like ok I have a shot.....but if I did bad, I'll have to consider other options i.e. DO or carribean or...something
