Hey I interviewed on Nov 19th also! 🙂
do the towers have secure parking
Here is a question. What is the max loan limit? I never get a straight answer from them. They just told me that the average student gets 15,000 dollars a year to live off, that is after all the school fees. Does anybody know anything? I am waiting for the financial aid packet to come, because I am married with an eight month old daughter, so I am praying that they will let me get more money even if it is from a private loan or I don't even think I can find a place to rent for that. What are your thoughts?
thanks PCrooks, on the other note - do you know anything about how the loans work for international students like myself - I know I am not qualified for fafsa but is there anything in place for me
Hey thanks for that. It's funny how much it differs from year to year. From looking at your posts it sounds like you live in DC is that true?
On the supplemental application that came with the packet, how do you know the school code for the undergraduate university?
quick question guys - I am waiting on my package - I would like to know what type of acceptance is given. Did any of you get conditions attached to the acceptance etc.

please tell me what you mean by pests - cause ants are slightly different from rats. Roach is a story by itself
LOL...Mice in the Towers! That is so true. I know people who have complained about that. All the dorms at Howard have been known to have pest problems at sometime or another. It's been like that for years! Not to justify anything, but Washington DC has just as many rats as New York City. You don't have to get used to them, but you will see your share during the next four years. Whether it's in the Towers, the subways, Georgia Ave, or even at the Giant grocery store.
As Talisa said, there are alternatives. If you rent a basement in a row house just make sure it is sealed up good. Because when those snow flakes start to fall those little critters usually seek shelter in the lower parts of the house first.
I think I will take my chances in the Towers - but if I see one rat I am not paying any rent

hello my fellowclassmates,i can't wait to meet the new crew,it will be a great pleasure. I think silver springs is a nice area to live but that is just me. a few students told me that the housing near campus is not all that great. silversprings are cheaper and more comfy. it is 30 minutes away from school. I don't mind that. Does anyone know if there is paid parking for us dental students.anyway let me know where you guys are planning to live. triniboy out
