I've been wanting to get the Aesculapius for awhile now but I can't figure out where to put it. My husband wants me to put it on my inside left forearm because he thinks it looks like the Dark Mark.

Gotcha! Word of advice: Don't get it until you graduate. I know several med students who got caduceuses...and did not graduate for various reasons.

I think it's a bit of bad luck..., maybe?

Haha. I got mine before I ever applied the first time. Knew without a doubt that I'd never leave the field of vet med. But that is generally good advice. I got my college mascot tattooed on my ankle and had to withdraw 3 months later after my accident... Thought it was bad luck for a long time. lol

If I ever have the money (and if I ever find a good artist), I was a DNA helix on my back.

My thesis dealt with molecular biology, my current job deals with molecular biology... it just makes sense.

I do not have any tattoos though so I am a little scared to take the plunge.

I've always loved being around horses, working with them, teaching people how to ride, etc. While I don't want to specialize in horses, I do want to work with them as a vet also. They are something I never want to give up, so I thought it'd be a good reason to get a tattoo. 🙂
