Invite to Colorado! I had originally gotten the rejection email and called to get feedback as to why. Turns out they made a mistake and I ended up getting an interview!

Maybe they're spending their time finalizing the decision for the big Day~

Just a guess on my part though... Then once people turn them down and more spots open up... may the invites continueeeee.

Wow, good decision to call then haha. I interviewed there yesterday, awesome school.
 
UNLV in Feb

3.9 GPA UCLA, 24AA, 24TS, 21PAT, dental and non-dental EC's.

Agreed. Thanks Pitt. Mr. Avicii, I have a challenge for you. $20 if you don't check SDN at all this week. That way we'll be able to read some pertinent things and not worry about you breathing down our necks if we want to post something! I'm sure other members would be able to up the ante.

Don't give up. It's not over yet!! You may get a lot of post dec interviews, especially once people start turning down schools and putting deposits. How many places did you apply?

Also a lot of people get off waitlists and still get in after Dec. There is still time!

Just keep waiting. NYU, BU, and USC all interview/accept post-dec.

Well Unfortunately with your low DAT and GAP as well as not mailing until September it puts you at a real disadvantage to receive an interview. I would recommend retaking your DAT, and as a reference, my application mailed in September as well, I have a 3.3 Sci and 3.4 cGPA, 21AA and 22Sci and I have not heard from the schools that I applied too.

I would apply to more schools.

Your stats are the same as my friends. She applied at the end of August but havent heard from any school. Some of my friends have the same GPA but higher stats also havent heard from any school either. So you are not alone. I am sure that you will hear from schools after Dec 1st.

Heard back from Harvard dental school today!

They call you for you to schedule an interview. Then they send you a supplemental with like five more essay questions (WTF). The earliest interview they have left is December 2nd. They started really late and interview in really small batches, so there is still hope for the rest of you!
 
Got a call from the admissions committee member that interviewed me at University of Florida (interview was in early Oct.). Wanted to know if I had any questions and asked how I liked the school, then told me that she liked the interview and thought it went really well. Anyone else get a call like this? I am OOS. Thoughts?
 
Email from USC Dental School on 10/24 and intervied on 11/4. Post-interview candidate and hoping to hear good news on Decemeber 1st! 😀
 
E-mail today from UMDNJ for first interview. Really excited, didn't expect to hear back from schools so soon since my mailing date was the 11th of this month. Now just gotta prepare for the interview...

My stats are 3.8/27AA so I don't know how much you can get out of that...

I'm just really impressed with UMDNJ efficiency. Some of the schools haven't even acknowledged receipt of my application yet (which is understandable since it's only been a week).

I had a sGPA calculation error on my application and I informed all the schools of this change... Just letting you know that Oklahoma University admission committee is meeting this Saturday to review interviewees applications. Oklahoma University replied to me with the following:

"Our selection committee meeting is this Saturday and our interview cycle is closed for this year. At this late date we would not be able to grant you an interview even if your science GPA was changed."

Argh that sucks. Just hang in there. I think things are sort of dying down right now in terms of interview invites but they should pick up again in Jan/Feb. Let's all keep our fingers crossed. :xf: And just try to enjoy the holidays! =]

What the h*** does test1 mean?

Hey, this is my first post here,
but i have an interview with Louisville( Dec 5th) and Nova (Jan 5th). Louisville's going to be my first interview so i'm pretty pumped, especially since I didnt get my aadsas out until october and lors early november. Anyone else going to be in Louisville on the 5th

I got an interview at Upenn! This is unbelievable! It reached me on Friday.

I submitted way back in June, so I was really not expecting this. Awesome!

My DAT score is 23.
I'm in Canada and I applied for 14 different American dental colleges. I haven't heard back from any of them yet. Any comments?

Same boat as you. I invite from UNLV,1 rejection from UCSF, and re-review (rejection) early Jan at UOP. Nothing from anyone else.

Mid sept app.

which schools did you apply to and are you an international student?
 
I'm canadian but took american DAT the complete applications were sent by aadsas on late july to the universities.

temple, NYU, UB, BU, tuft, usc, ucla,...
