Just got an email from Indiana saying that my application is now complete. Lol what does this mean?

I just got an e-mail from them too. Apparently I'm missing an LOR. I already have 4 so I maxed out. They sent me a link to send the fifth one too. Hopefully another prof can write one quickly!

All too familiar with this...

Hey everyone I'm a Canadian student. Here Is my question and anyone who answers please just be totally honest I want a realistic answer if possible:

So my application has been under review at USC Ostrow since august. I emailed the admissions and here's what they told me: thanks for your interest blah blah..... Your application will be under review until "late" spring until an interview is provided. Interviews there are offered through February but late sprint is May. To me that was an interesting way for the admissions officer to phrase the response. I think that sounds like a rejection that will take a while to be confirmed coupled with an agonizing wait.. Should i be concerned? What do you guys think?

Canadian DAT: Chem (17), AA (20), pat (22), RC (22), bio (20), TS (19) Manual dexterity (21).

American gpa out of 4: overall = 3.82, science = 3.62.

Did you only apply to USC? I'm obviously no expert, but from what I've gathered, Canadian students need to have both high DAT and GPA to get into a US school. Your GPA is great, but the 17 in Chem might raise a few eyebrows. That email sounds like a generic email they send to everyone who inquires.

I am a Canadian applicant, too. If you want to apply to American dental schools, you should take American DAT.
In Canada, 23 AA is considered as average for dental students while 20 AA for Americans. I am not suggesting Canadian DAT is easier, but the number tells the truth.

Sounds like a generic response to me, reveals nothing about your application.

You should know that USC interviews a lot of applicants, since they are one of the most expensive schools in the USA. Great school, but many applicants who get into USC, and another, less expensive program, choose the less expensive school. This is why they interview well into spring. You never know!

School: Temple
Notification date: 10/22/14

AADSAS mail-out date: September
GPA (science, overall) 3.7, 3.6

Second interview from my relatively late mail-out date!
Are you going next week or in November?

Actually they said this year they will be interviewing 450 applicants for 144 seats...thats less than a lot of schools that have a lot less seats.

Congrats to all of those with multiple interviews - must be so nice to have that off your back. I'm thankful for the one I've had but I am getting super anxious about the rest. I'm thinking at this point I'll be waiting for mid December and spots to open up from all of you who have wowed multiple schools...

And I really want to call my state school and tell them I'm interested and they are free to interview me before December... only partly kidding. I lol'ed at the dusty application comment because I'm sure mine has cobwebs on it considering I was first batch.

I have a friend who just received an interview invite this week for UCLA, and the interview date is this coming Monday. A good sign that there should be plenty of pre-December spots left! I wish they would just hurry up though! I can't help but lose more hope every time I hear someone else got an interview and I didn't. D:

Wow! If I ever get an interview, I hope I get more notice than that

Do you happen to know your friend's application batch?

She was in the first batch. Although I'm starting to wonder if they really do go in order when they select people. 😳

i got an invite to nyu last sunday and i'm third batch. Who knows how the process is.

I am wondering the same thing, but maybe it's logical to think that if you had the similar/identical stats, they'd go with the batch number, but everyone's application is unique, therefore, maybe it's not entirely up to what batch you are in, but combination of both how good your app is and how early your batch is. What the hell did I just say man!

Log onto the Midwestern Portal, I used to click application checklist and it would have all my materials with the check-mark. Today it says "unable to find information"

Can't be a good sign....

Where is this mwu portal?

Thx

On a Sunday??? Nice!!! Really hope they didn't push me to the back of the pile :/

I feel like getting three interviews seems be to the plateau level before waiting REALLY long to get the fourth. It's like when you're trying to lift and make gains. You eventually plateau until a certain point where you start to see gains again. Same thing here. I and a lot of other people here got three interviews before waiting REALLY LONG to see the fourth. haha. Just my 2 cents.

For the record, I haven't gotten my fourth! but I sincerely hope it's coming.

I waited nearly 2 months between my third and fourth

I waited 2 days between by third and forth. Between first and second, well, that's a different story

then it's probably wiser to say that there is a certain level of plateau after receiving an interview or a certain number of interviews.

sooooo considering grades aren't a priority for many of us who are waiting/attending interviews, how would they affect our acceptance? let's say I interviewed at one school during the semester, then I got C in a science class and rest As (non-science), do you guys think it would affect the applicant with his/her acceptance? I know 1 C isn't that bad, and I just feel like senioritis and waiting on interviews is playing with my emotions of feeling bad about my grades... I don't know if I'm not supposed to feel bad because they wouldn't affect me that much.. or my school emotions just died because of this waiting game...

I'd think they would put more weight on how you've done in the last 3~4 years + DAT than your C grade in your last semester.
As long as you don't fxxx it up badly, I think you will be alright.

When is the latest you can have an interview? Is it March or even later? I'm guessing March at least for UCLA, but any information on how late other schools could interview till?

Interviewing on my birthday lol good luck. I got one but late in the cycle march 5
You got a March 5th interview date for LECOM?
Interviewing on your b-day, that's awesome. Totally find a way to slip it in there..LOL… I would!

Should we update schools with post midterm GPA? I'm in a grad program and a second time applicant that has already interviewed at two schools.
