🙁 other rejection was from nova, and I have one interview at UNE. 15 more schools left...

Is this what you got? This is my exact email I received at 2pm ish

This email is to let you know that your application is still with the College of Dental Medicine Admissions Committee. It is possible that the Committee hasn’t reviewed your application yet or they have made a decision and haven’t informed us yet. Once reviewed, some applications receive a quick decision while others may be held for review again at a later time. I’m sure you can understand that due to the volume of applications, it may take some time to receive the Committee’s decision. We will certainly notify you when there is any change in your application status.

this, not the other. I am sure they would want their students to be academically competitive so their program will have higher graduation rate, etc, etc.
I can't see them rejecting student just because their stats are too high. That's a little too far-fetched.
 
Did anyone apply to Tufts? My application has been considered incomplete for two months. They asked that I don't contact the admissions office because it will delay processing more. I sent everything in as soon as possible and they still haven't confirmed that my application is complete.
 
oh by the way, I got a random call from Florida today, so I thought it was another one of those calls from HPSP army recruiters because I inquired about the scholarship before and this phone number looked similar to theirs somehow.

I hung up on them, and about split second later, I thought "hold on, it's way too early, but this could be a good news"
I called them them back and sure enough it was from NOVA!!!

Here's the kicker
Turns out, it was their courtesy call telling me that they received my application and supplemental.

LOL

So yeah, no interview just yet. ZERO!

I don't know for sure but I'm going to guess that you haven't heard anything yet because you only have 20 US shadowing hours. Maybe schools don't count shadowing done in other countries? With stats like that you could have until you had more shadowing hours before submitting.

Yeah, I just graduated in May. I'm retaking the second orgo, and I just finished the first one a month ago. I want to contact them but they say not to...

This is the one I received:

In an effort to keep you updated on your application status, this email is to let you know that your application has been placed in “continuing review.” This means that your application received a partial review but has been placed on hold. Applications placed in this category are generally considered less competitive academically but will receive periodic review by the Admissions Committee. We will certainly notify you if there is any change in your application status.

They probably meant to say don't call just because you are anxious. If you have a valid question/concern, I think they would be willing to look into it.

Well the way I see it, it isn't a flat out rejection... so maybe we are contenders to some interview waitlist? Others have def. been offered interviews so this is the only thing I can see. If they wanted to reject us, they could have spent less energy and sent us a rejection email. Better than nothing but still hoping for interviews!

Did you have a letter sent from a general dentist you shadowed for over 40 hours stating proof of it? That was my hold up I found out and sent it off today.

This is what i received and then a call in 4 hours interview!
 
I received an application update email yesterday also, but no interview.... Hope i get one today.
 
I received "Continuing Review." from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine 🙁(
The Continuing Review status means that, at this time, the Committee has not selected you to interview for admission to our program. All applications in Continuing Review receive periodic re-review, and a change in your status may occur.

I wonder if that means that UB is about to send all of their interview invites soon 🙁 I don't think they have sent out any so far

I had an interview at LECOM on Tuesday 9/9. Other than that I haven't heard a peep from any of the other 21 schools I applied to with the exception of the "application is still with the College of Dental Medicine Admissions Committee" email I received from Western U, and a request for one additional academic LOR from IU.
