So it seems like UCLA sent out interviews but only one person has reported on SDN. However, there was a post saying someone called Namoi and Namoi confirmed they have sent some interviews. Anyone know how many UCLA interviews a day?

Or applicants arean't using SDN as much as previous years. Someone said Boston was filled for pre-december interviews and we barely saw anyone post about them!

I have to agree, I spoke with other students at the interview this week and a majority of them were already on their third interview. One friend I made there applied for 6 classes and has 5 interviews set for pre-December.

thats probably a false assumption.

especially since the only interview invitation i know of came very recently (oct 9 i believe) and the first date Im aware of is 0ct 24. and i dont know any school that has interviews every day. these faculty have jobs to do.

Actually some private schools have interviews every single day. NYU has interviews every single day, because they interview so many ppl

Oh well I think the way NYU type schools and UCLA type schools run things very differently. I dont think any UCLA type schools have interviews every day.

I was the one who spoke with Noemi. I believe they interview 8-10 per interview day, which is obviously not necessarily every day of the week. I wanna say they only interview on Fridays based off the people I spoke with last year who were admitted for this year, but I'm not too sure (maybe they changed it this year). And considering the earliest someone posted on here was the 24th of October, they probably haven't actually interviewed anyone yet. Fingers still crossed!

UCLA has only interviewed two groups so far. It seems like they interview every Monday and Friday and they started last Monday 10/13. There were 6 people in my group but it was the first day so maybe there was less than usual. I've heard they normally have 8-10 people per interview group

I know UCLA sent at least 4 interviews to people from my undergraduate, but no one of them reported it on SDN; all the four don't have an account on SDN.

When did you submit your apps. Where did you apply? Where is your residency?

I submitted my application June 23rd but it was mailed July 7th. Then it was mailed two more times due to transcript updates, letters of rec, etc. I took my DAT late July and the score was posted early August. So I guess I am considered one of the late applicants? I didn't apply to OOS schools (I'm from CA).

The majority of schools (I think ALL Cali schools) don't consider your application complete until your letters of rec have been received. I don't think August is late. It takes time for apps to be processed. I wouldn't be discouraged just yet if I were you. Just my thoughts.

Hmmm... I would have applied to a bunch of OOS friendly schools like MWU, NYU, BU. Your GPA is stellar and and your DAT is good too.

Upcoming #7 NYU #8 Rutgers # 9 TEMPLE .... Im going for sure to NYU... But im trying to schedule Rutgers and Temple after december .... Im totally broke

I think I'm 1st-2nd batch and haven't heard back from 14 schools in about five months.. lol Honestly, at this point you'd think I either qualified for an interview or didn't. I'm not sure what they are waiting for.. Either they are waiting to hear back from all the super qualified candidates to see if there is free space to give me a shot or I am going to get 14 rejections come December 1st.
