In at USC! Weird cuz my AADSAS portal said Wait List earlier haha.
I have to do some real number crunching within the next few days...im not sure where my money will be going at this point...
Missed the acceptance call from Temple because of work..... Was about to kill my customer. He didn't mention in a voicemail anything about a scholarship so should I not be expecting one?
I called and the lady at OofAdmis. told me that there would be a packet mailed?
Is this what would have any scholarship offers? (I got duplicate emails from Temple accepting me)

Anyone hear back from UIC? I heard they were late getting acceptances out last year.
Just and update here. Been quite inactive in the last month or so. I have decided to attend the University of Sydney School of Dentistry as I am Canadian and it just made much more sense for a number of reasons. As a result, I have withdrawn my app from schools and have canceled my interviews. My hope is that these interviews will go to some of you who still need that one acceptance 🙂. The schools include Roseman, UMN, NYU, UDM, Rutgers and Western! Merry early Christmas...I hope these go to some awesome SDNers!

Not trying to be an ass here but why are some of you so excited over getting acceptances at some super expensive private schools? You guys must be loaded....
I got my call around 4 today. Keep your head up!
My best friend applied around September (app was complete in October though) and although she didn't
have any pre-dec interviews, she had plenty of post-dec interviews.
Now she's at Penn Dental!! So don't freak out 🙂 People will be withdrawing their acceptances once
they put deposit, and cancelling post-dec interviews if they already got into schools of their choice.

Random question. How crucial is it to take the courses for this spring? I had a&p listed but the schools I've been accepted to do not require them, so I decided to save my money and time and delete them. ULSD'S email says to take spring courses. I've emailed them, but I'm freaking out a little. I've already graduated and taken all the pre-reqs though.

I just did this and then called the admissions office of the school I was accepted to. They were fine with it, said congratulations and enjoy your time off.

Did any of you get accepted to University of Kentucky (OOS) that are choosing a different school? I was wait listed and I'm wondering what my odds are like of getting in.

It just depends on how many people in state/ out of state declines their offer, I'm pretty sure.

Well I heard that UT Houston only sends out half of their acceptances on Dec 1, so they would have around 50+ to send in January.

Got multiple acceptances. Will now spend a load of time drawing spreadsheets to compare schools, although realistically I think what's going to happen is that the in-state tuition at my state school will trump all other considerations. (Unless some other school drops me a fat scholarship check or something...)

Hi and congratulations! I got a call this morning from VCU as well. I would love to know a little bit about their scholarship offer as I make up my mind about which school to accept. Money is super tight so any info you can share would be just lovely. Thanks! 🙂
How do schools determine if you get a scholarship exactly? Do they look only at stats or other factors?

What exactly did you want to know? The scholarship is generous enough I'll be paying the same as in state students.

If I knew I would tell you but I have no Idea. I never though I would get one, much less two....

I know that some schools just offer scholarships upon acceptances. Today when Michigan called me, they offered me 120k over 4 years.
Unfortunately I think they are just given so there is no application or qualification process. If you ask me my personal opinion I think schools might just really like certain applicants and don't want to lose them to their state schools so they offer scholarships to even the financial playing field.
