BU didn't update my AADSAS or sent me an e-mail indicating that my application was being reviewed. I heard nothing from them.

Today, they invited me for an interview via e-mail.
 
do they just give you a date like nova or give you options that you can pick from?

When I called for my interview, they gave me several to choose from. Mine's in October. I think they may be booking interviews in April now.

what are the chances of actually getting accepted if the interview is in april..i just called them..kinda lost hope for case 🙁

Saw your personal website. I don't think you have enough extra curricular activities and your stats are not good. That's why Case decided to interview you post-December. 😀

they told me at my interview that it doesnt matter when you interview. they intentionally have small interview groups, and save lots of spots for post December interviewees.
 
For the people who got interviews from BU, did the AADSAS status change to "Invited for Interview" or did it remain as "under Review"?

What about Pittsburgh, did the AADSAS status change?

🙁 rejected by Case via AADSAS!

For those of you who have heard from BU or NYU, do they update statuses on AADSAS?
My application was completed for both quite some time ago, but I don't have them in my status list!!! I don't know what's going onnnn....
 
I interviewed with nyu n they only contacted me thru email. they didnt update aadsas.
 
I received an invite from NYU, and they have never been on my aadsas at all. I think they have too many applicants, and don't want to spend the time updating everyone's aadsas page.

Hah, it rarely makes sense. Last year on back to back days I got my Pacific interview invite and my UCSF rejection. You never know.

And I highly doubt any of the others are full. As far as Pitt goes, you have an equal chance of getting in even if you interview post-Dec.
 
No for Temple and Tufts for sure.
For Maryland and CU, I'm fairly certain they're not full either. CU has been quiet the past few weeks and same for Maryland (though they have been sending out a few interviews...but not enough to fill pre-dec)

I just received a secondary from UF last night. I sent it out this morning, hopefully I can get a pre dec interview🙂
 
Just got my first rejection: UNLV.

"Thank you for your interest in the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. This year we anticipate over twenty-three hundred applications for the seventy-five positions available. This large number of highly qualified applicants makes admission to the School of Dental Medicine extremely competitive. While this is a positive situation for the school, it does necessitate numerous difficult decisions for the Admissions Committee. After careful review of your application, the Admissions committee has arrived at the decision to not consider your application further."

When did you get their app complete email? damn... i'm starting to worry about unlv too... my stats are not even comparable to yours. =/
 
File complete email from UNLV: August 26th

From what I understand you only have a shot at an interview if you are oos if you apply early. My DAT scores weren't updated until several months into the cycle. As far as all the other factors why they rejected me, who can say. I know that there are several people on the rejected list for UNLV with better stats than me too. Oh well. Such is life!

No, no clue. I think it's just the same old story, specific schools are looking for specific things. We never know what those things are...wasn't it ASDOH that was famous for that? Something about if you didn't have 5000 hours of volunteering in the community forget about it. I posted in another thread that I wouldn't panic about not hearing from Pacific yet. They're at least two weeks behind where they usually are in the cycle this year.

Sorry to hear about UNLV. You've got higher stats than me. I'm thinking the reason I've been invited is because my file was complete on August 9. But, it looks like you've got other interviews lined up!

i am a CA resident and I got an invite for UCSF!!!

this definitely feels good since it's my first invite and just a week before i got a rejection from Loma Linda

mailing date: 8/6
mailing date with last rec letter 8/27
secondary app received: 8/31

Congrats, you have gotten a big interview ahead of you. how does your stats look like?
 
Has anyone UCSF's stats changed to under review/complete yet? Mine is still additional info needed for more than a month! 😴

Mine changed to received/complete on 9/23, which is just over a month from when i mailed my secondary so you should be getting an email very soon.
