I'm wondering the same thing...my mailing date was 7/16 and they finally updated the aadsas to application complete today

my mailing date was 7/16, and i received an interview invite a while ago, and today they finally updated my status to "invited for interview"

Judging by this, it looks like if you haven't gotten an interview from them and your from the early batch, then you've been passed over at the moment.

No problem! The initial mailing date was 7/02 but my DAT score went out 7/16. When I talked to the secretary she said Monday (10/12) was their first interview day and that they only interview Mondays and Wednesdays. Last year they interviewed 214 people and accepted 142.

Hopefully that helps!

Good luck!

If UOP is just getting to early-July submissions and mid-November interview dates are filling up there, I think I can let go hopes of a pre-Dec there. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed for one later on, though.

Got the email from UNC yesterday! Interview on Nov. 6

ECU - 10/12
NYU - 10/21
Columbia - 10/22
UNC - 11/6

Same here. I received an interview invite on 9/27 and it was just updated yesterday.

That's a good attitude to have 🙂 I think that with your stats you are definitely competitive for Louisville. Also, I've heard their waitlist moves relatively fast if you do happen to receive an interview post Dec. 1. On the bright side- congrats on your 4 interviews!

University of Maryland interview scheduled for Nov. 10! 😍 I'm so happy, I've been hoping to get one there!! I've visited the school before and thought it was awesome. 🙂

AADSAS update for Louisville just changed to "Received/Application Complete". (app. was complete in end of august)

Thank you! I can't remember when I got the supp. but it, as well as my check, was processed August 11th. They called me yesterday for the invite.

Now I'm starting to freak out. We're quickly approaching November and I've only heard from two schools out of 9! Anyone else in a similar situation?

hey Jenna, I applied to 25 too...and boy was it expensive and time consuming! I've gotten 1 interview invite in a week for a reach school and the other 2 were rejections. still waiting to hear back from the other 22!

When was your application submitted?

Interview invite today from KY. Wishing I could do Louisville at the same time! Should I call UL to tell them I am going to be in town? I know most places say not to contact.

So I have heard from my state schools ( Houston and San An), but none of the schools from OOS. Has anyone heard from the following schools whose app was mailed around 9/9 : UConn, Columbia, Harvard, and USC? My application was sent in before (around July), but my DAT as mailed via AADSAS on 9/9. Am I prematurely freaking out?

When was your application submitted?

Hey Jason, I suppose my date would be considered kind of late. submitted 7/23, 8/6 mailing, last LOR 8/27 mailing...kinda late

but shortly after that 8/27 mailing I heard from my in state CA school! but still waiting for the others...i don't even care if I just get interviewed at one school and get accepted at this school...it's a kick arse school!

how about you? are you in the same boat as me?

LOL yes! I would definitely say you're prematurely freaking out! with your stats you don't need to do much freaking out at all. It's just that they have a million of applications to weed through and once they see yours, they'll go BONKER-eyed. Harvard hasn't sent out invites yet...according to predents, but columbia and USC has.

P.S. why did you withdraw from UCSF and UCLA, but kept USC?

UCLA accepts very few OOS, so I figured it is not worth the effort. Also, Penn is super expensive, so I dropped them as well. The only reason USC is on my list is because they give a few full ride/half ride scholarships that I think I might be able to get. I am really leaning towards Houston at the moment - it just felt right. Should I send in my secondary for UPenn and UCLA? It seems kind of late and pointless.

your reasoning makes sense. although, I think UCLA accepts more OOS than UCSF and especially with your stats, I think you'll be really wanted. The secondary for UCLA is only $60 and they've barely begun to send out interview invites. my friend didn't interview there until April/May and got in...UCLA is one of those schools that take a while to fill up their classes. not sure about UPENN though. I live in CA and commute to Santa Monica and UCLA almost everyday and the weather is almost always sooooo perfect!

No!! Don't apply!! lol jk.

in all seriousness though, i think you have a great shot at UCLA even if you submitted ur secondary now..

btw, how did you find out about USC's scholarships? how do they work?

p.s. i love you justin bieber! i've got bieber fever...especially during the summer of 2010

I saw it on a few sdn posts from way back. They only let you know if you got it after you put down your deposit. If I get in, I will prob ask them if I will get it before putting down a deposit. I think it is merit based.

Just thought I'd give in what information I've heard: The admissions coordinator from UCSF came to our career center earlier this year and said that once an applicant meets the minimum requirements (in-state: GPA = 2.7 and out-of-state = 3.0) they do not discriminate between residents and non-residents for admissions. I don't think UCLA has the same policy.

So does Louisville only offer waitlist spots after Dec. 1?

no complain here, it is Friday after all...

Thank you. How was your interview?

Ninjad! I interviewed there this last week and I liked it a lot. They had an essay prompt before the interview, nothing too tricky. I went on one of the "personal" interview days and it was very relaxed. I felt my interview was very conversational--we just went page by page through my application and talked about random stuff that caught the interviewer's attention. I really enjoyed the tour through the campus--I was lead by a 3rd year all by myself and he was able to give me some cool insights into the experience and LLU. I would love to go there and think they have a fantastic program. Me hates the waiting game!

Thank you HoyleMatt for your informative response. I'm not SDA but I am looking forward to visiting their campus. I hope you don't me asking few more questions. How long was your the whole session? And what do you mean by "personal" interview days?

Thanks again.

they give u two options for interviews. one is to go for group interviews (which includes lunch and tour), one is for individual and "personal" interviews

AADSAS School Decision for
University of Detroit Mercy changed to INVITED FOR INTERVIEW yesterday 🙂

No word from them though yet about the interview date.
