Hi April 2006 MCATers,

Some posters have requested that we have one serious thread where only announcements and information about the April 2006 MCAT score release are posted. This thread is it. After the scores are released (on JUNE 20TH!!!), y'all can post your scores in here as well. But in the meantime, please while away the time in the Official April 2006 thread so that we can avoid cluttering this one up with unrelated posts. As always, please remember that false score release posts and threads are a no-no, and good luck to everyone waiting. 🙂

37 M

physical 12
verbal 12
bio 13

Don't know where that M came from but I have decided to not care about it. Is this strong enough for MSTP or is hte M going to Kill me? so happy.

Eddie, I got the same score as you (with a slightly different breakdown)! And I'm from Indiana!

VR: 11
PS: 9
BS: 9
WS: P

I'm so thrilled! 29 was the average of my exams. I also had two MCAT dreams, and the average of my scores was a 28.5! Creepy!
Congrats to all who have fantastic scores!!! 😀
Congrats Hoosier brother! 🙂 I think we can be proud! 29P is not an easy score to get 🙂

P12, V9, B14, W=M

definitely happy with the 35 but disappointed in the writing sample..
even though engl is my second language, i never had problems with the writing sample (i was gettin 4s and 5s on kaplan which were more than satisfactory).
oh well, the wait is over and im very happy!! 🙂

30P

10 VR
11 PS
9 BS

It's funny because PS is always my lowest section...

I'm happy with the 30, but not as happy as I thought I'd be. Maybe I'll be happier in the morning. I'm just glad it's over with.

Also, why no exam data for the entire thing?

Congrats to all of you all. Oxeye, I predicted that you'd get 40 or 41 and Anastasis would get 37. Instead the roles were reversed. Kinda funny, but congrats to both of you!!!!!!! Your scores are still in the top percentile and you'll have no problem with a 37 to get into EDP. Good luck!!!!!!!!

Not what I expected but I guess good enough for a DO program.

Total 28R

VR 11 (never had a practice score this high)
PS 08 (practice score 11 twice)
BS 09 (practice score 10 twice)
WS R (can you believe this ****)

Even if I retake will never have to worry about the Verbal anymore.
Good luck to all of you, as for me I think I did well given the circumstances.

29Q I didn't study much, but I'm gonna so own in podiatric school

Considering the prep time for this bad boy...I am ECSTATIC! I have to thank my engineering background for pulling me up in the PS!

Well, I guess I will be the downer here.....
11-6-11..........28Q, weird especially considering I was averaging 10's and 11's on EK 101's and the aamc's. may consider a handscore. Congrats on all the great scores looks like I get another chance.

Does West Texan count for ESL?

That's good, right? (Bummed about the writing sample tho. )

Which of these schools do y'all think I have a better shot at getting into than the others? How about other schools I may have missed? 3.49 gpa, 3.97 sciences, non-trad, good recs, essay.

1. Your Form (If you remember): AC

2. Your Practice Score Range: 27-36

3. What you used to Study: Kaplan classroom, Osmosis, AAMC practice tests

4. How do you feel right now? nonplussed, it was my goal at the beginning of the year, and I got it. But still, my last Kap test was 34, so I was hoping to do better than that, and my last AAMC 9 was 36, so overall I'm kind of bummed. Shouldn't complain though, right?

Ana and oxeye, you girls rock! I knew you were gonna rock this thing!

It is a super unbalanced score, but I'm happy with it anyway! I never thought I would score a 30!

Im SOOO HAPPY. I know its not like some of your scores, but I pulled a 36R! Again, I realize its not like some of yours but considering there was atleast one passage where I randomly filled in circles on bio section I am stoked! 14/11/11!

Awesome work on the VR section! You've got some skillz girl!

35N!!

11 VR 11 PS 13 BS

Dont' know where the N came from since writing has always been a strong point of mine, but right now I couldn't care less. That's one point higher than my highest practice test and I can't believe I got a 13 after that bio section! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

While I was suffering from the flu. I'm satisfied. (Actually, elated!)

Good luck to all of you!

VR 11

BS 11

I actually thought I did better in VR, but I am not complaining. I did not expect to do that well in PS or BS.

39R

Thank GOD this wait is over...and that I never, ever, ever have to take this again!

:hardy:

First of all congratulations everyone! God, the long wait is finally over!! And what a surprising time for AAMCto release the score right? That caught me a little off guard!! Hehe, I don't think I was ready really to check the scores. And god, was it scary.

Anyhow, I'm not too happy with my scores but here they are:

PS- 12
BS- 12
VR- 8
WS- O
__________
32O

I was considering MSTPs, but 32O means I should probably not apply, no?

11 PS
10 VR
9 BS

30Q... pretty good for taking the MCAT cold... as in it was the first time I ever saw typical MCAT questions. Yea to not studying!

let's start off by saying i improved 3 points.

then let's say my score...which i'm still kind of iffy about. i don't know what to do now.

PS-10
VR-8
BS-10

total 28N.

super congrats to VD and oxeye!!! you guys are awesome!!

editing to add the goods:

1. Your Form (If you remember): BN

2. Your Practice Score Range: 28-31 (average was closer to 30)

3. What you used to Study: Kaplan online

4. How do you feel right now????? Happy to have improved, disappointed that the VR score did not improve like other sections, but I don't think I'm taking it again unless I get no love from any schools.

Can anyone give me some thoughts on my L ( 😳 )? I know med schools don't really care about the writing section, but that's a really low score. I wish I knew where that came from, cause I was getting 4's or 5's on my Kaplan practice tests.
