Hey all! Notice has begun that some schools will be starting online this year and I thought I'd made a thread to list them. As always, feel free to DM if you want to remain anonymous. Sad it's starting like this but hopefully things will be looking up for us & all else applying this coming cycle or who are currently in med school

Wayne State (4/14)- "Thank you for being flexible with us during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the pandemic, you will be starting online coursework on July 13, 2020. We will be providing more details in May. Details that will be forthcoming and include what type of online welcome and orientation you can expect before arriving on campus, what date you should be prepared to transition to in-person classes on-campus, and how you will be connecting with your peers and professors during this time."

UTHSC (Tennessee)

not online but deviating:

WashU: moved start date from July 13 to Sept 8

Harvard -
completely online until at least January 6th, when they think we will be in person (in some regard); dorms closed for the fall except for special circumstances

Penn - lectures online, small groups in person until Thanksgiving break, then completely online until winter break

Keeping the thread alive

University of Pittsburgh:
Hybrid approach with much of the courses’ content provided on line with recorded lectures and small groups via digital platforms. May be able to have small groups meet in large classrooms. Meetings with advisors will be either remote or in person as the infection risk changes.
Anatomy: Expect much of the course to move to an online format, anticipate in‐person components, including rotations and dissections. Small group sessions may be done in larger rooms with smaller numbers of people.
