15+ L/min through a cannula? that must've shaken all kinds of things loose.
actually, it may have been closer to 20+. I think the little floaty ball in the gauge shot to the top of the meter.

actually, most of them say you can't pound nails into the woodwork, which makes sense, but drywall? I'll just spackle it over anyways.that's crap. i have no idea if my lease allows nail-pounding, but I sure as heckfire do it anyway.
actually, couldn't it be meningitis?actually in retrospect, the pain is more in the back of my neck.

actually, I kind of like the LEDs that Bell has, plus their air horns are pretty wicked. Of course, I'll always be partial to the 9mm holes in the Curtis rigs. 😍I think Paratech has the coolest looking ambulances in the area. The chrome wheels are sweet. Good size, too.
Though that Ohana ambulance service has a cool rig too. Palm trees on the side and such.
citric acid-induced inflammation of the meninges? hadn't thought of that. good time to take some penicillin. M2s, why would that be?
Good time to take ceftriaxone, you mean.

Maybe he knows it's N. meningitidis, and all he has to do is have high dose pen G and stay on it for a while.
Did you folks realize that you can download entire textbooks onto your PDA in addition to the (presumably) nifty programs they're going to give us? Or that you can watch movies?
Not sure which will come in handier. All I know is that I can't wait to have a portable, non-greasy Netter to carry with me.
So a few of us have been on these boards since 2004, and I have the fewest posts by far. That makes me feel inadequate.
Oh well, off to scrub.
I'm not too worried about it yet. I saw one of your classmates over at starbucks and she had 2 stacks of note cards that were about a foot high. I just wondered if that was the way that eveyone does it. She said that the good part about all of it was that MCW students usually kick butt on the pharm portions of step I.

And you're all insane.
If bacteria don't exist, why would you need an antibiotic for them.
I worked for Paratech briefly. Their ambulances are ok, but I'm a fan of the MFD rigs. Red rules. But then again, I'm biased.
Because Dr. Myers said something about knowing them for some exam coming up.
Working on your post count, eh, Don?
i'll take white with nice accent colors.
actually, i take that back. THIS would be my ideal ambulance. but only if it came with the proton packs.

Actually, I'd agree. Keep the red with the FD's, everyone else can have white. But, I'm a traditionalist. I always hated the lime green fire trucks, and am a fan of leather helmets.
Just don't cross the streams.
Haha ... you could've done a "yay, 500" post there. 😉
sometime awhile ago a study was done on the lime green...when it was new they thought it would make fire trucks more visible, so to test this they gave some departments new lime green trucks, and for awhile the accident rate actually went down. however, after awhile it apparently rose to meet the number of accidents with red trucks. the accidents were only down at first because the firefighters were being extra careful with the new trucks so as not to mess them up.
there's a department in my county that has some black fire trucks...really ugly.
agreed. pretty lame 500th post, don. i expected better from you. you lose your Splat Text Page Privilege (STPP).

i won't talk about how that phrase can/has been used in the past.
Don... you're very silly. PS: I got called in twice on my first call night... what's that all about?
Also... the rest of you are also very silly. And I'm happily eating dinner. So there.
red? ugh. i'll take white with nice accent colors. or this. if it keeps me visible and safe, I don't care if it looks like a clown car.

Nope. I negotiated the troublesome clauses, and she's signing it tomorrow. I was thinking all day about how much nicer this would be if I weren't living in someone else's property. A house is probably 2+ years away though. The wife needs a few more raisesQuick, get me some rifampin for prophylaxis...hopefully I won't get pregnant when my OCP fails while I'm on it.
Prowler, those stupid lease stipulations were one of the major reasons why we decided to buy a home. It's nice to be able to do whatever the **** I want to my house without fear of repercussions.
(You aren't signing a lease with DeeAnn Kufahl, are you? Sounds like something she would write.)
LOL, I'll keep that in mind.Toothpaste makes an excellent nail hole concealer.
Of course you're a fan of the MFD rigs. Life is rough when you don't deal with a real budget, and you can buy a huge-ass International truck that has to kneel before you can even get the patient in or out of that thing. They look awesome (especially the paramedic education rig, which is almost as long as a semi), but it doesn't make you wonder why our city budget is always in trouble. They're really not very big inside either. You'd think you could set up a trampoline in there, but it's only a little bigger than a full-mod.I worked for Paratech briefly. my employer has an ambulance from the late 60s that looks like that, but without the stuff on top. 😛actually, i take that back. THIS would be my ideal ambulance. but only if it came with the proton packs.
