Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted for this fall! I am interviewing tomorrow and was wondering if anybody could give some words of wisdom. I would appreciate it!
soooo... who wants to live with me in queens?
Hey man, I would love to live in Queens if I can find a good place. PM me if you want to go house hunt together.
alright, i sent you a pm. any one else want to join us?
You have a link for the housing you're looking at?
im not looking at a specific place yet. i'm just looking around elmhurst and astoria. where are you thinking of living?
i live in queens and dont recommend those 2 areas.
check out forest hills and kew gardens
oh thanks for the recommendation. ill check those places out. are Elmhurst and Astoria bad neighborhoods?
hey keving, those are nice pics you posted on our facebook grp. I almost forgot what the clinic and sim looked like. 👍

Hi everyone,
I have a question. My application for NYU is under review and I wonder how many seats are available at NYU?
Does anyone who went to interview know about the # of seats available? I applied late, and my AA is 19 and GPA 3.7, I called them last week and they said it is under review by admission committee.

Nah Astoria is not bad at all. I've been living in Astoria for almost 9 years now, since freshman in high school. Now more and more people who work/go to school in Manhattan live in Astoria and commute. Besides those people, there are a lot of Greeks and Italians living here. the rent's gotten a little more expensive these years... but in anyway, i highly recommend Astoria~!
oh, okay. astoria it is.
All this Queens talk lately is nice and all, but is anyone considering living near campus? A short walk to school would be very nice imo, considering classes start at 8. There seem to be a lot of two bedrooms for around 2300-2400. Waterside towers would be even nicer, but I don't have a co-signer. I think they only require one though.
Waterside:
One Bedroom
great view $2,650/mo.
Avail. 02/15/08

Two Bedroom One Bath
city views $3,250/mo.

BANK!
2 Bedroom for 2300 around NYU does not exist... if there is.. please show me!! Im interested
I have a question regarding finances, I realize that it might seem kind of personal but we are all in the same boat. I haven't actually been accepted yet but I have been doing a lot of research into everythign involved with a dental education.
My question is how are you financing your dental education?
Loans from the bank? Scholarships? Parents? Govt funding?
Thanks, very interested.
Eh a place around here does physicals for $85ish IIRC. As for immunizations and titers, I'm getting those free at work so I couldn't tell you.Hellow NYU fellows,
just a question about the cost of the physical along w/ the blood lab test...did any of you guys get it done? one of my friends got it done for a total cost of $375 w/out the meningintis shot (optional), did anybody get everything done at a lower cost? if so let me know, or else I will have no choice but to spend around that much. Thanks guys.

100% loans, the max federal loans allowed and the rest will be private. I'll even try to take out loans to pay off my credit cards.

Glad to see the list is growing!
Sorry, the list is shrinking. I received a late acceptance to my #1 school (UNLV). Enjoy NYU. There is no doubt that I will miss the opportunity to live in NY again. I LOVE THAT CITY! Good luck and see you all in the SDN graduation threads in 2012!
